Cramer telling people to "get out" of Gamestop "dont go for the grand slam, you've won. you're done". What a giant phaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagot.

Not surprised that it's a CNBC article, they are proving themselves as complete trash

Centralized finance and tech being disgustingly out of control is the big takeaway from this. I'm glad its out in the open, I hope these people face legal consequences to the misery they have brought upon others with their glorified gambling and disregard for business.

I know people are enjoying the commoner gaining from this(as have i), but lets be honest it's the same form of manipulation as shorting more stock than exists. Either way it's completely damaging to any markets integrity. Definitely shows how exploitable the system is. People will argue for free market capitalism but how can this be countered by anything but regulation?

The people that invested money they could afford because it was the right thing to do i'm proud of, but lots of people are going to get burned in upcoming social media pumps+dumps after this. I know that gets some financial "survival of the fittest" traders hard, but learn to have a little empathy for your fellow man, they just want to experience the same success they've seen others achieve but are unfortunately naive.

The outcome of all of this is pretty bleak.

Bleak my ass. This is modern class warfare and we're winning. People have woken up to the fact markets are manipulated and we are strong in numbers. So tired of spineless cucks.

I agree, it's just the beginning. Hedge funds and money managers will communicate with the SEC, FINRA, and govt entities and determine where to move the goal posts and then we have to figure out where we're getting screwed with the new regulations, and the cycle continues. They'll continue to make regulation more and more complicated, similar to the tax systems so the average person doesn't understand or have the time to.

TBProdigy I honestly agree with your outlook. The whole reason why I'm backing this is because it's exposed the centralized/traditional financial system to everyone. I've made arguments online about how centralization le

Like you say, the power of memeing and internet hives is now out of the bag, and I've no doubt that intelligence services (that is not conspiracy theory, GCHQ literally have an entire division dedicated to social media manipulation) and Hedge Funds will no doubt begin their own meme wars.

I honestly think this may be a turning point towards a hybrid economy of CEFI (centralized finance) and DEFI (decentralized finance).

The following is not financial advice, and if anyone chooses to invest in these 2 projects they are taking a high risk because they are in their early stages! Good returns may take 12 to 24 months, and there is no guarantee that the projects will succeed.

Unfederal Reserve ERSDL and Alliance Block ALBT.

https://allianceblock.io/

https://unfederalreserve.com/

They want to be bridges between CEFI and DEFI. Both projects have people with bonafide credentials in centralized/traditional finance.

Yeah, that was unfortunately inevitable.

The great thing IMO, is that it's red pilled millions that the system is deeply rigged. Hopefully they will also come to the conclusion that it's inherently or irreversibly rigged, and either support completely revamping the system, or look at using alternatives to the system.

I am against regulation/government intervention in almost every part of life, but when it comes to finance there are no ethics, desperation and greed is rife. The short term wins people gain from this are nothing compared to what has been looted by people that contribute very little value to society.

You are playing a game of football with a paid ref and down 10-1 but just scored, doesn't mean the game is not ****ing doomed.

Oh yeah, I fully understand. Financial revolution may just be what this world needs though. The people have seen they can fight back and make a difference.

The problem I see and from what my education taught me - the SEC and FINRA are supposed to be their own regulatory entities. They are not supposed to work on behalf of hedge funds or work with the govt. on behalf of hedge funds. The former fed chair / treasury secretary should not be speaking with hedge funds on the side.

So yes, regulatory changes are inevitable, but this is chrony capitalism, fraud, insider trading, illegal on so many levels. And the future regulation will most likely not benefit individual investors in anyway. The news cycle will continue and most people will forget about the whole fraudulent process. Hell, I'd say 90-95% of the population doesn't care about finance, investments, stocks or setting themselves up for financial security. So good luck to us...the best thing I can recommend right now is moving your money to Vanguard, a company that is owned by the customers and will more than likely never stop you from trading or sell your information.

You're stuck in the matrix.

This is class warfare, but not the sort you think it is. This is the elites vs. everyone else. The same people you supported to steal the election are the elites who expect to put their finger on the scale like this. They are the media. They are the democRATs. They are the RINOs and Never Trumpers. They are everyone with a degree from Harvard or Yale who thinks that entitles them to have a cushy life at the expense of the rest of us. They are the bureaucrats in DC and the venture capitalists in Palo Alto. They are people who summer on Nantucket and winter in Aspen. These people are the gatekeepers. They pick the winners and the losers in life. Of course they expect the laws to be ignored to benefit themselves. They write the laws! These are the people who have an irrational hatred of Trump that burns so bright they want to impeach him for make believe crimes after he's already left office. Trump has his flaws. He's a self-made man who didn't use insider deals with members of the elite to get rich. His crime is that he's a bit vulgar and a bit narcissistic and... here's what explains their irrational hatred... he got elected to president by himself, while not being a member of the elite, and while knocking out the choice of the elites, who considered the presidency her entitlement.

Whatever you think of Trump's personality, he was the last chance we had to stop the elites from complete control of everything. Instead of helping him, you spent 4 years fighting him and lying about him and mocking him and then, when it really mattered, staying silent about the election fraud, the de-platforming of a SITTING president so he couldn't even speak to the country, and gaslighting of the whole country about what was happening.

Trump served his purpose and I hope he goes away and stays out of the spotlight for the rest of his life, but this thing that happened in the markets this week?... this was all about an elite who know that they are now above the law and can be blatant about flaunting it. The idea that trading could be stopped simply because the wrong side was getting taken to the cleaners tells you everything you need to know about the future course of the country.

Did you know since the lockdowns started almost a year ago, the 10 wealthiest people have added $500B to their wealth? While tens of thousands of small businesses have been driven out of business, the elite have made out like bandits. So have their voters. Government workers haven't missed a paycheck. "Essential" businesses like Planned Parenthood have stayed open AND gotten hundreds of millions of dollars in PPP money, all while churches and synagogues have been shuttered for a year. This is the great reset and I've got bad news for you... you're just as much on the wrong side of it as I am as a Trump-supporting conservative.

Agreed 100%, my friends and I have been discussing this as class warfare for years. The spread from the haves and have nots has been steadily increasing. Every data set and research shows this. Rising tuition costs, rising debt, middle class shrinking, less pay per person over the last few decades in relation to cost of living. The peasants are growing in numbers however, and with technology on our side (big tech willing) we can turn this thing around through soap boxes and educating anyone that will listen to what's really going on. Big tech is trying to silence us with the removal of free speech and platforms before we rise/wake up.

This is not about right vs left, as much as msm and govt wants to say it is, it's to pin us against one another.. If they're successful they'll pin us against each other, make it about race, political ideology, they'll try anything...

Just to be clear, the point I was making was that this class warfare is not a function of wealth. Trump is a billionaire. The elites don't want him. This warfare is about something deeper. You need to hold the correct opinions... have gone to the correct schools... work in the correct professions... vote the correct way... etc. There are plenty of rich people who are supposedly on opposite political sides, but who are really on the same side when it comes to this war. Soros and Buffett and the Koch brothers and Biden and McConnell and Zuckerberg and Anderson Cooper are all on the same team. Some born to it, others earned an invitation to it. They think we should be happy with scraps, while they feast behind their fences and security.

Soros and Buffett and the Koch brothers and Biden and McConnell and Zuckerberg and Anderson Cooper are all on the same team. Some born to it, others earned an invitation to it. They think we should be happy with scraps, while they feast behind their fences and security.
Somewhat on that topic, a co-worker was telling me of the people where he grew up, people considered to be "old money" where they still hold balls, dances, social gatherings, basically setups so their kids can meet and establish marital agreements with other "old money". He was invited by a girl with "old money" because he had a chance to go pro in sports. This sort of alludes to what you're talking about...that piece of society that doesn't accept many outsiders.

You're confusing me with someone else, or you've assumed things about me that are simply false.

Anyone who has read my posts on R/P knows where I stand, and I've consistently said that Conservatives and Liberals are 2 sides of the same coin, they both support centralization. Conservatives just want the Trump administration to be running the centralized system, and liberals just wanted Bernie or the Biden adminstration to be running the system.

I've consistently been against the system, regardless of which party is running it.

Exactly.

Left vs right paradigm is just divide and conquer propaganda.

As long as liberal and conservative populists hate and accuse one another of destroying the nation, then the elite will just continue along like nothing happened.

Anti-Violence expert James Gilligan interviewed prison guards, and they told him that they know that if the inmates unite against them they can easily hurt them. So they purposefully allow or create tension between gangs.

WSB has united left and right wing populists, and the financial elite have responded with alarm.

Miscinformed, please reconsider your position.

It amuses me that nobody wonders who is making all the money from selling their $5 GME stock to redditors for $300 a share.

You haven't been following the recent news then I take it?

The brokers have been questioned by the MSM and by Social media.

That has literally been scrutinized the past 24 hours. I even posted links about it ITT.
