So i had to call for an ambulance for my grandmother last night cause

She waa having a very difficult time breathing and catching her breath.

Says she hasent been feeling good.


So when i awake this morning i call the hospital to check up on her. They admitted her. They transfered ne to her room. The nurse is in there. After the usual formalities i make mention to tell her i will be up to see her todsy and the nurse says no she cant have visitors she is covid 19 positive. Which scared the chir out of me cause shes a life long smoker with copd

Im a bit it shock and she puts me on hold. Comes back and tells me . oops sorry you were transfered to the wrong room.

This isnt a pissed or im angry thread. The nurse made. A mistake . shes human and **** happens. But i told her my grabdmothers name and she said she was there. It was a slip up. Human error. .im not even going to call and mention it but that was a pretty big scare to start off a beautiful sat morning to

Are they going to let you see her? My dad’s in the hospital and I can’t even visit him due to covid(he isn’t in the hospital for covid). Hope she gets better soon bro.

She has copd from smoking since she was 12. She was on oxygeb 6 months ago and in the hospital 3 weeka laat time and she zyarted snoking again.

This..why didn't you drive her yourself? It would have been faster.
By the time you call 911, and they show up to your house, you would have been at the ER already or close to it.

Waste of resources, tax money and you woke me up in the middle of the night for this.

In all seriousness, I get it that it's your grandma and you want the best for her but if you live with an elderly, you best know where the closest ER/ Hospitals are from your house.
