I here ya. I'm one of the biggest chicken littles itt, but I still think it's too extreme and encompasses so much that it won't pass. They'll wait for the momentum following a mass shooting or something good enough and then pass a more simple yet severe bill.

They're talking about licensing millions of firearms. The don't have the infrastructure to carry that out right now, not even close. They don't have the infrastructure to go after an untold amount of people who won't comply, either.

Pretty much this. Would like to add you didn't include illegals in other states. It was a landslide and that's ignoring the fraudulent votes from counties that had more people vote than registered voters.

8 million brand new first time gun owners in 2020 alone. So even if they're just buying a little bit of ammo, that's a huge increase in demand all by itself. Add long term gun owners stocking up and you've a lot of demand with not a lot of supply.

Bought a couple airsoft G19s and did a quickdraw competition with my buddy who EDCs one. I carry appendix and train at least twice a week. He carries strong side OWB and trains...I have no idea. On the shot timer, draw and cease fire on the first lethal hits.

It was pretty interesting overall...he learned that he needs to modify his cover garment and whole carry / holster situation. He ended up getting the pistol hung up a lot, and as a result, got shot a lot. I learned that I need to be more aggressive...when I won the draw I had no issue being extremely lethal. On one occasion when my draw got hung up, I bugged out and ran for cover taking a round to the spine. I'm not overall upset with performance, it went very well, but in that once case I can't help but think I should have charged him and kicked him or something.

Anyway, given the ammo shortage if you aren't training with airsoft you're doing yourself a disservice.

It's not too extreme given the president and the Marxists in office today. This is the most radical government we have ever had. If anything, they don't think this bill goes far enough. There wouldn't be a penalty, this isn't a traditional 401k, it's a retirement account for government employees in the State of VA. Since I didn't work there for 5 years, the matching isn't vested, and there's no penalty for withdrawing (other than taxes).

I can roll it over and not pay taxes on it until I retire, which is probably the smarter move.
