The laws of monogamy were put in place both by the church and by the people in power to give every man a chance to procreate and have his family. This benefitted society because everyone had motivation and were fulfilling their biological roles.

I 100% believe society benefits from monogamy, but i dont think its natural at all. Sooner or later when you try to drift humans away from their nature, hell breaks loose. We have seen it trough history, degeneracy on different civilizations and now we are seeing it in our own. We are slowly going back to complete sexual freedom and i fear that in 10-15 years time we will see families of 1 man and several wives living on the same house.

Monogamy benefits society, polygamy benefits the genetic selection of the human race. You can try picking a side but its pointless because at the end of the day you cant change the course of a river. Humans will be humans.

No, you have it twisted. Just do some research about civilizations before birth control and marriage even existed. You think everyone was happily monogamous holding hands?
