Bravo Concealment is running a 2 for 1 deal on holsters. Their holsters generally work with pistols with suppressor height sights and RMRs. If you're using a Roland Special (not with a comp, but with a threaded barrel) or something like that, it's a great option.

Do also note that there is PMC Xtac 5.56, and then there is PMC Bronze .223. The 5.56 is, well, 5.56 and the .223 is known to be measurably weaker than the 5.56, there is a true difference between them, so, there's that...it's not like Wolf Gold .223 that's pretty much actually M193

Ah, shed fires are unfortunate. I made the mistake of keeping mine in a locked storage unit when the wild fires kicked off here, such a shame.

I’m not gonna get into a long wall of text about my opinion on the Robin Hood situation....


What I will say- if you are using Robin Hood, make sure you have a written will.


Most trading platforms when you open the account your designate beneficiaries in the event of death- so it automatically can transfer without having to wait for a probate court estate decision.

With Robin Hood, you don’t designate a beneficiary.

I have some win .40 FMJ training ammo that is supposed to be gov't overrun (dyed purple cases) and good to go (dyed purple so gov't retards don't confuse training and duty ammo)...had two failures in 400 rounds with it, one was nearly a squib, the round was so weak that literally the slide didn't move and, literally, the bullet hit about 1 foot low at a distance of 5 yards. I had a nice tight group and then a pfft and the slide didn't move, but I field stripped and there was an empty case in the chamber, and a hole in the target about 1 foot below the rest.

I have also just generally had various cycling failures using winchester pistol ammo

I had a lot of Ranger bonded where the hollow point cavities, all of them, looked like hammered crap that were all kinds of deformed and inconsistent, like they made other factory seconds or rejects look good, but they were not marked as such.

And more. You haven't been around much but I've posted a series of photos of these rounds and more several times in MFC. Just don't have them on this device or loaded to a hosting site at the moment.

It used to be good butthey moved a lot of production some years ago and QC went into the toilet.

ALso, they don't careI literally contacted their customer service with pictures, including mic'd pics of their ammo not meeting spec, multiple times, in multiple years, and never heard sht back from them

Fuk winchester fuk their QC fuk their "don't GAF" attitude


Also, they don't GAF about you. Ever wonder why it got so difficult to find Winchester Ranger in 50 round boxes? They were the first big one to crack down hard on distributors and retailers offering the 50 round "LE" boxes to us lowly plebs
I will add one thought to this.

As a reloader, Winchester primers are the WORST you can possibly use. They are impossibly hard to seat compared to other brands (federal, CCI, whatever). They also have frequent failures in guns that ignite other brands 100% for me.

If they use the same primers in their ammo (I imagine they must)....

WWB got banned from my ammo locker years ago. Dirty crappy poverty ammo.

Federal Champion got the ban too because it’s underpowered. It’s the only ammo I had failures with during training classes using my three G19.4s. Went back to PMC and the failures disappeared.

Fed Champion is weak. It's consistently weak, and for me it runs 100% though I haven't shot much of it one handed. It used to be the cheapest I could get locally when I went to Walmart and they sold handgun ammo, the Al case especially, so I still have a bit...it's good if you want to run a fast drill really fast lol

But it's definitely not top tier training ammo.

My favorites are still easily Speer Lawman and Federal American Eagle for pistol. Matches up will with HST and Gold Dot too. I wish I could have found more IMI when I went looking. Bought like one case one time of IMI 9mm FMJ

All the New stuff out now is kind of cool- so I’m getting a little more interesting.

Honestly, when this is all said and done I’m likely going to keep using much of my same old arms....

I do like the idea of modernizing everything - especially that I’m older and just not quite as good as I used to be at shooting. Let tech do some work.


I’m thinking a shield EZ form my son also. With green crimson trace.

His hands are smaller than mine- turns 21 this year though.

Some of those optics compared to an old Leupold Ultra M3A 10×42mm are cool as chit.

Don’t think I want to get back into the super long range stuff though.

The way this tech’s set up now I could actually see a legit 1 person sniper team possible.



Other news- gonna get some pics of my old HK/Benelli M3 Super 90 pump/semi auto 12 gauge.

Pulled it out, needs cleaned up so much too embarrassed to pic- I’m gonna take it to a shop and have them detail it - maybe refinish.

It’s seen some hard times....

Anyone have experience buying blemished Aero lowers? Got one yesterday on their site for $70. A search on Reddit it seems like most of the time you can't even tell that it has one.

I have a blem m4e1 lower and it has 2 tiny spots in the mag well where anodize didn't stick. Otherwise perfect.

I always buy blems when available. You CAN find them. I usually scratch it more assembling it anyways though so it’s never a big deal.

Plus rattle can dat bitch and actually use it, it will get beat up way worse.
