Honestly, if you're sweating extended hours/potato hours, you're watching too close. Regular trading hours orders don't even fill. Don't worry about this.

That was the first thing I thought of, yeah. Somebody getting ready to capitulate and trying to soften the blow when the inevitable happens.

Another angle that occurred to me after I walked away from the desk would be a large holder selling them to the market maker to raise cash, either to avoid a margin call and stay in or even to buy more.

As somebody who does nothing more advanced with options than buy-writes and protective puts, I am learning a lot from this.

I bank with Ally and they have an investment arm. Finally decided to open an investment acct. and don't see the same kinds of restrictions. They wouldn't let me buy AMC with a market order, but they let it go through as a limit order.

i'm reading it might be unintentional, something about the price. I started a withdraw to go to etrade because I thought it was this whole fiasco again, but I'm going to backtrack in case it's not. too many fukin broker apps/sites i signed up for now. robinhood, td, webull, now etrade. hope im not screwing myself.

Lawl I've been accumulating silver for years. There's always been giant threads for PMs on various forums and it's well known it's heavily manipulated. It's no surprise given the current economic conditions people are rushing to buy something to save their wealth from being evaporated by inflation.

The situation can't be totally analogous, but if you look at the graph of VW share price in 08 the price does drop sharply right before it shoots up.

Except back then something like 70% of the shares were bought out by porsche from outta nowhere. This time around its completely telegraphed buys from redditors.

I'm pretty sure all the old shorts have covered and the squeeze wont be happening. I get the fuk wall st mentality but if you're putting money in at this point, you're just doing the opposite and giving the new shorts your hard earned money.

I could be wrong but we'll see once the data on shorts come out.
