773 here. I paid off 2 large loans (Student loans and car loan), pay off credit cards every 2 weeks or so. Never missed a payment before ever. Paying off loans early actually hurt my score a bit more than I'd ever expect it too, that and closing an old credit card from college.

Haven't taken out loans in a bit though, nor do I plan to, until it's time for a mortgage. Plan to buy all things going forward with cash / credit card that gets paid off nearly instantly.
