People like Cuban and Chamath Palihapitiya getting involved in this might be my most hated aspect of this whole situation. These guys have their own agendas, never let a good crisis go to waste!

Cuban is doubling down on the view that stocks are completely speculative unless the company distributes cash to investors

This stuff is painful to watch

Cuban (Kubinsky) is a turd. Chamath is basically a technocratic socialist, he wants people tracked when they take the vaccine. Screw these guys. People need to stop trusting these globalist turds.

Sold out of AMC for a small loss yesterday but thinking about buying some back. Soon as the paniccels get their shots they'll be sprinting out of their houses to do the things they miss.

What do you guys think he’s doing it for a few more views on shark tank? Because owning the mav’s just isnt enough publicity. He has to go on wsb and pander to them? I don’t thinks so. Maybe he’s trying to get in front of all the new subscribers. Maybe he wants to give out some advice.

Maybe he has beef with the sec and some hedge fund managers, which is what it sounds like from reading his posts.

Overall consensus imo is he’s trying to get people to stick together. But who really knows besides him? Nobody.

Anybody know anything about SDNL? I’m not a pro at all but it seems like a risky play to me. Same time though I can see a lot of redditors getting excited about it due to price and industry
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.

Does anyone think we are in a stock market bubble? I have about 90% of my portfolio in stocks and wondering whether I should divest more % to bonds or safer investments. What would you guys recommend? Although I've made a lot on stocks this year (100% returns, mostly on EV and tech) i am a bit worried about the future and feel stocks is way way way too popular rn. Are any of the ARK ETFS safe as they are actively managed? Which ARK funds would you recommend?

It seems to go up or down like 50% every day. Better pick the right day if you buy in.

I need some investment advice.

I put around $4400 dollars into an energy drink company called Celsius, ticker CELH. I bought most of my shares around $3 to $5. The stock is hovering close to $60 with a high of $70.

I've held for over a year and I'm currently at around $50k profit right now. Im at the point where I think I should take some profits, but I'm almost positive they are gonna report a great earnings report in march

My taxable income is probably going to be less than $30k because I max out my retirement accounts in mostly traditional but some in roth. What would be the best course of action to sell some stock but still get taxed the least possible? Thanks

No (regarding the bubble question), the big tech companies are cheap for the level of long-term growth they have to offer. Valuations are all relative, right now stocks are still the best thing you can buy (in competition with real estate mostly)

all of the ARK funds are good

depends what your definition of a bubble is, imo I think tech, EV, fintech, biotech, everything except energy is hitting at all time new high everyday what's that tell you? when the fed is printing 12 digits per month the money has to go somewhere...

I don't trust Cuban. He's just trying to make a name for himself and push his own brand by siding with the "little guy". Don't think it's genuine at all. And WSB is eating it up like the autists they are. Chamath is a savant, although he has his own motives i'm sure.

Of course it’s a bubble. But that doesn’t mean it’s going to pop anytime soon, nor does anyone really know when it’ll pop. And if/when it pops, we could be up so much that the market could still be higher than where we are now after a crash. No point in trying to time it in my opinion. It’s not happening tomorrow, and being early is the same thing as being wrong.

Someone will correct me if I’m wrong but with that low of an income you could take some profits tax free. I believe it’s 0% for long term holds up to your income being $40000. I think if you made 30 you can pull out up to 10k tax free?

What a fuggin week, and it's only Tuesday.

At this pace, I may beat my election week gains.

Edit: vista outdoors should deliver on earnings, considering the movement of the stock recently.

Chamath is goat.

And he disclosed his positions. Bougjt some calls and sold like literally at the top. Then donated to charity.

Cuban doesn't own positions. So fuk him.

Disclaimed I never touched gme.
I used to have an AVI of my traps and neck. I changed it a while back and tried editing my user title but this website is glitched and it will not let me change it anymore.

Chamath also saved the GME's bulls' asses when it mattered. GME was about to dip below 80 last Tuesday, in which case the shorts would've taken back control. But right as it was about to dip, Chamath tweeted that he was in. You can see the 5 minute green candle where it happened - sent the stock from 80 to almost 94 and got the word out to other players big and small. The Winklevosses joined later, and Elon's tweet in AH was the finishing move. But Chamath was the first. Definitely saved my ass too because I was playing GME that day and was sweating bullets that morning.

Cuban is just pandering.

yea i agree with the sentiment here. I want to like cuban, but he definitely seems like he's pandering for his own gain. Which, i think is political office. I remember him making a lot of comments about running when trump was president, and the only thing i can think he'd gain from going on WSB's is potential voters

Oh deer.

I thought the same that my AMC bag was gonna be a solid loss for me but hopefully things are taking a turn.

This is not an indicator of anything by the way, blackrock just balancing their ownership % based on price of the stock. So to even it out, their % of AMC went down about 6.

2021-02-02 - BlackRock Inc. has filed an SC 13G form with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosing ownership of 6,211,222 shares of AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (US:AMC). This represents 5.7 percent ownership of the company. In their previous filing dated 2020-12-08, BlackRock Inc. had reported owning 3,901,649 shares, indicating an increase of 59.19 percent.

Ended up losing only like $50 of the ~1000 I put in. Shoulda sold at $20 but got caught up in the hype. Stop lossed it at 15 Monday morning. Was gonna ignore meme stocks and move on but if I can get back in for $6 I'll do it for sure.
