The best thing that happened there was when we went out to drink at a place that was right next to a rap venue. Some huge hood looking black dude got out of his car, and strutted over to the door. One of the Indian guys I was there with was drunk, and followed behind the dude mocking his strut. We all turned around and assumed he was going to get shot. He came back giggling and pronounced that "The black man has no beef with the brown man".
I’ve heard that a couple of times, LA isn’t the greatest. But! I do still want to check out the place a little bit and will visit my friend too.

I didn’t like the Bronx in NY, but it was a good experience. It was really far though. Not sure if I’ll be able to compare the two but it’s all I have to go off of. I’ll just see what happens I suppose

Good luck bro, you seem like a positive guy. I'm sure you'll find some interesting stuff to do out there. On business travel you don't have time for the little things that might make your trip more enjoyable than mine. Hope it's fun, if you want to know anything specific, I can ask my sister. My nephew is a skater, I can find out where he goes if you want.

Burgers:

Umami burger

and Fathers office which I think is near culver city.

I use to have an apartment in CC, and you're in a good spot.

It may not be the best time to be out there due to covid though.

Try out Bay Cities Deli and get "the Godmother" sandwich for a 10/10 sub. Also Johnnies Pastrami, which is right next to Titos (overrated) is pretty good too.

Send me a message while you're down there, if you need more specific advice. I've lived and experienced much of what SoCal has to offer. Also, look up artsy stuff in NoHo (north hollywood), I think that area is booming with creative types but I can't say for sure since that isn't my thing

Eat tacos. Cheap great food.

Look for Leo’s Taco truck at La brea/ Venice.

They are there after 11am. Go in the evenings, food is much better for some reason

$1.50 tacos

Venice beach and Santa Monica pier are a must and don't cost anything to visit. Catch some waves if you can.

Thus unlamented let me die;

I bought a boomerang from one of the vendors ages ago.

I took it out to the beach, threw it once and it hit a guy in the head that was laying out. I felt awful. He wasn't very hurt and was cool about it too.

I also got a nice "water pipe" tobacco use only of course... for $100 which I still have to this day. Thing is practically invincible. Other than the bowl pieces.

Head over to ktown, go to michin dak, and after you order from the ipad go to the window and tell them to give you maximum spicy even though you already picked the spiciest option. I'm pretty sure there's better options in terms of pure quality or whatever, but I've been stuck on this chicken for months because I love the flavor and level of hotness they put on it.

Not sure in comparison to your location but last time I was in LA I had a great time catching a movie before going out at Tarantino’s theater.

Tickets & snacks were also really reasonable

Go to the Bullet Bar in West Hollywood . The restroom stalls are where the real party is at.

In sum, rent a car.

For a taco place, somewhat near you. There Pacos Tacos on Centinela and Washington (I think, it could be Venice and Centinela)
Eh, I disagree man! I just googled how close the Culver City arts district is to where I'm staying and it's less than an eight minute drive. There are about twelve galleries on this list, maybe more. I think I'll go with some smaller galleries that aren't super popular, just to check out some contemporary stuff. But I'll definitely check out the Pacos- it's around that area, so I should be good to visit there
Thank you!!

Truly do appreciate this Dr, I'll pm you before the last week of this month. I'm trying to make the most out of this trip! Thanks so much for these suggestions, I actually have never had pastrami before. Was trying to go in NY but the line was waaaaayy too long. What time should I go? Someone said the evenings are better but I don't know if that applies to this place.
