Home owner brahs

I come home to find a whole bunch of cut tree branches in my yard from my neighbors tree. I can clearly see that they had someone cut their trees and a lot of it fell into my back yard. Are they responsible for removing it or am I? I’m pretty pissed, and wanting to know the law before I go banging on their door.

Why wouldn’t you just go over and talk to them like a normal person to ask about the situation? I’d personally keep the wood for myself but if you don’t want it...ask them to take it back.

Going to do this. Going to be pissed if they refuse, will probably throw it back into their yard if that’s the case. Just hope it doesn't fall on me to be my responsibility to get rid of the branches because then I will be the *******.

I probably would just pick them up and throw them away and if I saw the neighbor just be like hey whoever cut your trees didnt pick up their mess just fyi.

I wouldn't go out of my way to point a finger at my neighbor for something they very likely did not know happen or make a fuss enough for them to feel obliged to drop what they are doing and come over and clean my yard.

True, Maybe I’ll just throw them away my self. Branches are huge though. Not small enough to fit in a green trash can. Will probably have to borrow a friends truck to haul them off.

Seems like you need general advice instead of legal advice.

Don't be "that guy" who's quick to take legal action and assert their 'rights' etc. People like that are very predictable, tend to have no friends, and you'll most likely lose in the end.

Just have a talk with your neighbor.

i guess if they were big enough and your trash people dont just pick up brush you leave on the side of the street i would ask the neighbor then if they could do something about it, having to actually load them in a truck and go take them somewhere would be a bit of an inconvenience. Glad they finished the job though.
