Cancel 50k Student Debt.. New Student Loans?
So it looks like they’re making a push for this cancel student debt thing.
Well what if you already paid your student loans?
Could one open new student loans before they pass the EO and then they cancel it?
Anyone thought about this?

the only logical conclusion is that the govt will now pay up to 50k worth of college to every single student for free from now on. say what you want about free education, the fact remains our college system is already extremely overcrowded. this will lead to complete disaster and a severe drop in the quality of our universities, endless goobers will sign up to go to school and completely clog the system. this is only the tip of the iceberg of the problems it will cause, but it is the most glaringly obvious one

Everything I've read on student loan forgiveness indicates a $10k payment to anyone who's taken out federal loans

I’d rather they just hit your credit and let you file for bankruptcy. Seems more fair to all involved. Fed backed loans were a mistake, and perpetuated inflated tuitions and a broken system. Not everyone should qualify to study anything they want to, whenever they want to.

I highly doubt it's going to happen.
Maybe 10 k and that's being generous.

I'm biased though because I paid off $17kish student loans in 2019. Took me less than 2 years to do it after graduating.
An extra $10k would accelerate my investment portfolio.

I always LMFAO at the cucks that claim to be educated because they went to college yet were too stupid to realize they went into massive debt for a piece of paper. It makes me happy seeing them working at chain stores and restaurants.

I dont want it, srs. I say that with having 20k worth of student debt (50k start). I knew what I was getting into when I signed those loan offers and I am more than capable on paying them off myself. I dont need the tax payers money, no thanks. My college education has served me well (Mech E), anyways the interest is at like 3 percent so I dont sweat it.

Let them file for bankruptsy. Jack up their credit for 7 yrs. And don't bail out the banks. Responsible people will pay the loans instead.

I think the bigger issue is kids not realizing this by the time they got out. Luckily I had a ton of scholarships, classes taught me business and economics, and I slowly realized the **** show I was in by the end. Paid off 30k 2 years ago and never looked back.
But most kids my age all still have their student loans and spent their money on going out, new cars, and apartments.
It does feel a bit like the responsible ones here are getting anally fisted.
