Anyone here tried the Black Orchid Parfum? If so, how would you say it compares to the original. I am almost out of my BO and was going to buy another(bigger) bottle, but was curious if I should go the Parfum route vs the original

Spicy is the best way to describe it. I haven't actually smelled the original Eros in quite a while though.

This one is definitely noticeably spicy. The color of the bottle definitely alludes to what the scent is. Its pretty heavy/strong too. Would definitely keep it to colder days/nights and its not nearly as mass appealing/safe as Eros.

I feel like with this one there is no in between. Its either a love or hate. If someone asked, id recommend the original Eros on a blind buy, this one id definitely recommend someone smells before they buy it, its definitely something that isnt for everyone

F it, im going to sit on a reorder of Black Orchid until I can check out the Parfum. I did go ahead and order a 5oz bottle of AHSEE. Ive only ever owned the shower gel years ago, such an amazing scent and I am shocked it took me this long to get it. I was just thinking about it last night, was catching up on this thread this morning and saw someone wore it the other day. Took it as a sign from the cologne gods and put in an order. Ill definitely use the whole bottle lol

Arguably the GOAT 'go anywhere, do everything' fragrance IMO.

I'm a huge homer for CAHSEE so I approve of this purchase with the hardest of boners.

Strength of wind initial thoughts;

This is bal d'afrique amped up. Stronger fresh citrus in the opening and more projection from the jump. If i were guessing DUA took their Paris 1920 dna and just boosted a few notes. This smells great, very happy i got it.

In? I like the smell of BDA more than Africano but the latter has better projection. Any synthetics jumping at you? I opened up the Dua page and saw Candylicious is back out of stock. I'm just afraid the skank is too strong and I don't want to be disappointed. Will go do some reading up on Hanuman now.

I can't speak to synthetic long term in the scent but now, 30 min into a single spray of it on my left wrist vs the og on right i see the only real difference is the left had a more juicy fruity opening and it projects way more. Nothing harsh and seems well blended, every smell I get that sweet creamy woodsy vibe dancing off my skin.

Candylicious skanky note doesn't bother me, maybe others not used to funk won't like it.


I also got in symphony by DUA, really nice light cocoa gourmand scent. Gives me a rich coco butter vibe. I think it'll be very nice on summer nights.

How old is your girl? No. 5 is an old school aldehydic chypre that some people associate with older women, so it may not be something she would like. Absthetic, Jazz Club and By The Fireplace are staples from the house of Maison Margela. Can't really go wrong with either. I would recommend getting some discovery sets/sample kits from various houses.

My girl liked Molecule 02 IIRC. I hear people can't smell it on themselves at times but it is good for layering to extend performance of other scents. They can be found around $70/bottle so not that expensive.

Ya, I absolutely loved the body wash. ****, must have gotten that back in like 2016 or something. Idk what I was thinking not picking up an actual bottle. Remedied that now though, excited to get the package.
