Barrel does have dual gas ports and I did lengthen the forcing cone.

Always be aware of those around, anyone in a 10 or so foot radius is going to be mad, or anyone in the room you're in.
Tasers are also a consideration, either the stun gun type, or the hand held ones that do not shoot darts. They hurt like fck and depending on strength they cause loss of motor function for a moment, which means you can egress. Just beware of the cheap ones, they just hurt a lot and will only piss an actual attacker off more.
EDIT:
Got this one for my Mom, it's reliable and you realistically wont need better than 1.3%, you can find some claiming up to 10% but I'd be warry of what actual actives they are using to reach that claim.

Farles do you have a good vendor other than Amazon? I don't trust buying stuff that's easily counterfeit (e.g. batteries, sprays, that kind of thing)

Actual LEO vendor, they can ship the 3oz to anyone (I think), larger ones need to be LEO (4oz or larger).

Other than a lot of exposure to tear gas, my only experience with pepper spray was ~20 years ago, spraying someone with the gas station generic stuff. I stopped carrying it after that since it didn't seem to slow this guy down at all but I'm guessing there are different formulations that are effective.
ETA: LAPG carries the larger sizes of the DefenseTech stuff in case anyone is looking. In general do you prefer the gel or foam for outdoor use?

Having been sprayed with all 3, the immediate effect is similar enough between all of them that it's moot. Washing off gel and foam sucked more.
As for larger, realistically, assuming 1-2 attackers you wont need more if you hit. A little goes a long way; we are trained to use 6 second bursts at most and that is honestly enough unless the guys are really down for the cause. An average person will stop almost immediately. Not that I'd admit it, but any time I spray it's a whole can, fck it, we need to replace it after anyways.
Many cheap brands are either Mace (less potent it seems) or use lower OC concentration, or a mix of things that just burn and are not as effective. Genuine OC is what we use for a reason, sht works. We Also stick to the spray since accuracy of blast is a lot less important, and under stress that can help.

Yeah galls has been good for awhile. Local LE supply type stores are fairly common if you look around too and many will sell stuff like that to anybody. Sometimes LGS though they seem to usually have crap brands.
OC may or may not work on a particular person in a particular incidence. At the local PD the joke, and I'm sure it's national, is that OC only works on recruits and officers. You can watch all kinds of LE interaction vids and sometimes it drops them like the proverbial sack of potatoes, sometimes it just pisses them off, other times there is no discernible effect at all.'
I got hosed, eyes wide open and filled, with Sabre Red, and it ****ing sucked lol. I could still "Function" but it was not full capacity and after effects were a real PITA. After a brief combatives course I had to physically peel my eye open with one hand to discern shoot/no shoot target.

I have sprayed high strength military CS tear gas directly into someone's face, who laughed it off like it was Binaca breath spray. I also ended up spraying myself in the face with high strength pepper spray outside in the wind that came right back on me. I wouldn't count on any spray as a defensive device. While I'm waiting on my new CCW permit I've been working on knife skills, which I think is the best option short of slinging lead.
Also, fuk North Carolina. My permit expired when I moved up to NYC, and I couldn't renew since I didn't live there at the time. After moving back down, I had to take an 8 hour concealed carry class, have to get fingerprinted and medical checked all over again, and wait three months to get a damn appointment at the sheriff's office just to start the process. Fuk this liberal sh!tbag state. We are moving to south Florida in a few months anyway once I get my crap together. Going completely off the grid and digging our toes in the sand

You can use a knife to disable arm tendons, biceps, etc. without being deadly force. You can also easily slash a carotid, jugular, femoral, etc. that is an instant bleed-out.

My 2nd m400 came in today with the Bluetooth BDX scope included, got the Bluetooth rangefinder to sync with it.

If that rig ends up legit working will with all the ballistics, gps elevation, windage, and weather entered into the phone syciing with it.
And it’s not too gimmicky...
Might move that optic system to a .338 and see what it does....
Gonna replace both those chitty hand guards

Deadly force is pretty much prohibited in NYC so I got into the habit of figuring out other things. The vast majority of assaults, which are simple assaults, or whatever verbiage that jurisdiction used, which are in fact an assault (or a battery, verbiage varies etc),but not lethal force.
Are you, the lawyer, seriously asking me in what situation a use of force would be justified, without justifying lethal force?
Are you being serious right now??

A lot of the time you don't have gas. No gas? Use rubber bullets.
Most of the time we didn't have rubber bullets either. In that case, the less than lethal response was a .22 from a suppressed Ruger 10/22 "birkayim lematta" or to the knee-down (so shoot them below the knee).
We never had those .22s available. The other option, which was literally always available, was a 5.56 round "birkayim lematta." 5.56 was always available

I think we all know exactly how different those outcomes would be, practically and legally.

OC is amazingly low because it sucks but the risk of actual injury from just being sprayed with OC is very low. It's there (you might fall, or walk into something, or rub your eyes and hurt them maybe), and it hurts, which of course is why it is a use of force, but as for how much force...not much

BTW, the throat chop is the stunner, you gotta follow it up with a swing to the button, jaw or temple
