Before I had a pellet gun, a wrist rocket slingshot is what I used to shoot sparrows and frogs.

Oh yeah, totally not a real man because I don't have skills that I DON'T PHUCKING NEED!

I can fix things, but I have no need to hunt or fish because that would involve me killing things for no good reason. Yeah, so phucking alpha!

I'm usually not preachy about this sort of thing but I don't think I need to kill anything except what I absolutely have to.

I fix and maintain my apartment, I pay my bills, I have a job, I work out.

Don't need a gun, don't need weapons.

Are you a vegan?

If not, do you think the meat you eat just magically appears on your plate?

You seem against hunting and fishing for moral reasons. You think a cow being factory farmed and killed is more humane than letting a buck live a free and natural life, before giving it one of the most painless deaths that will occur in the wild?

I don't think you are less of a man because you don't do the things in the OP, but I think you are a ******* for your false sense of morality.

I am Vegan yes, and like I said I don't like being preachy, but I see no reason to learn to hunt if I don't have to. My issue with ops ridiculous logic that you're either hunting/fishing or you're a waste of space. LOL.

This.

I think we all know the op was tongue in cheek and existed to slightly rustle Jimmies.

But the moral high ground and hypocrisy of thinking you don't kill things because you are vegan should have been well put to bed by now.

You exist in the world and your survival depends on the death of other things. Anything else is hypocrisy

Give this guy credit though. He only mentioned being vegan after being asked.

Crossfit and vegans have the same thing in common usually...you hear them talking about it before they come into view...

At least vegans are trying to take a stand.

Good on you then, even more so that you didn't preach about it, I respect that.

But still being vegan does not give you any moral high ground. Literally everything that allows you to live your lifestyle is the result of the death of countless living organisms. I'm not attacking you, but you are not in a position to judge hunters/fishers and you most likely never will be. No one will ever be.

OP was probably just being cheeky to rustle some jimmies and it worked, as proven by the thread.

Yah I give props to him for not being preachy about it. My first semester in Uni, we were supposed to introduce ourselves briefly and some sloot said "Hi! I'm Chloe and I'm a vegan" then went on about the other ways of how she was helping the environment. Some *******s followed suit, "Hey I'm Jon, I'm also a vegan, blablabla".

Still they aren't exempt from wrong. You change your smartphone regularly? You cause death. You travel often? You cause death. Etc.

I do respect vegans who keep to themselves, as theyaretaking a stand, but don't judge others for their choices without taking a long hard look at every single one of yours.

I hate hypocrisy more than anything.

I went to a very liberal university and was actually shocked at the number of people who were totally cool with hunting, and eating wild meat.

I think the critical thinkers can see the positive side of it. Eat local? Check. Sustainable harvest? Check. Healthy? Check.

For the vast majority of people on earth, eating less meat overall makes perfect sense. (Not exclusively, just less)

And then there are hunters just raining on their parade lol

From strictly a health standpoint though, most people would do much better just quitting chips and pop, and going for regular walks.

Bolded is key, seeing less and less of that lately, even IRL.

Agreed some hunters can be kunts lmao, I had one during my technical degree walk around with shirts chitting on vegans, and calling them granolas. And this was almost 10 years ago.

I think an underrated aspect of health is low stress, most people are just way too fkn stressed out. I'm not a hippy, but damn. Just chill man, christ.

I think it can cost you that much...and for me it might lol

But lots of old timers here used to feed their families with nothing more than a beat up 30-30 and their work clothes.

They also would drown swimming deer and moose with the boat when they came across them, but thats another story lol

I disagree about the part about guns, since that's a VERY modern thing. But yes any real man or women should at least know how to do this things:

-Farming and basic agriculture (If you can't grow at least a phucken tomato you're not a real person in my book)
-Foraging
-Hunting/fishing
-Basic construction
-Overall dexterity with tools
-Being in shpae/strong and agile

Take for example the REAL alfas of our species

They can do all of those things and many more because they know their environment and the benefits/threats of every single thing in it. They don't take more than what they need so they don't destroy it like modern kunts do with empyt consumerism.

Nobody gonna be rustled about your fantasy wife slaying when you self admittedly need to rely on Costco to do your irl slaying

Right now is really one of my favorite times of the year to be outdoors as it's almost assured you have the woods and water to yourself

Here in the midsouth we goin hard in the paint on small game which is mostly squirrels and the occasional cottontail but prime chunks of public land that were smashed by deer hunters earlier in the fall are ghost towns now

Same for the lakes. Launch ramps are mty, no competition at prime brush piles, no jet ski, pontoon wakes all day
Bass and crappie both are schooled up so much that basically 99% of the fish are in 1% of the water so if you can find em on the graph you can load the well

Long time ago I knew some people that would collect cans at the side of the road and take them to the recycler for money. They'd use the money to buy gas for a beat up pick up truck they had. They'd use the truck to hit deer out in the country for the meat.
