btw the drop on daily users on wsb is pretty big after GME.

daily active users is ~200K

when GME was pumping it was ~800-900K

huge fall off.


few more weeks and there might actually be good DD on wsb again.

This would only impact high frequency trading (aka, massive hedge funds)

The tax imposed on a retail investor would be so small it'd go unnoticed.

This was something that I was formerly very against, but then I read Eddie Thorp's book and he presented a halfway decent case for how this only helps the little guy.

Hft's basically front-run retailers.

So by imposing a infinitesimal tax, the tax you pay per transaction should wipe out the disadvantaged position you previously had being front-runnered by the HFT.

But yes, hedgies would just re-adapt their algorithm around the new tax and behave accordingly.

The fact that fuktards like bernie Sanders believes that high frequency trading won't be reduced drastically by this new tax is hilarious, tho.... Yes bernie, I'm sure hedge funds will voluntarily operate at a loss to help buy u another vacation home lmao.

Did something today I've never done before.

Bought 100 shares of TSLA on margin @ 845. Immediately sold a 2/12 $830c against it. As long as TSLA closes above $830 on Friday, will make a quick $1k. Worst case scenario I guess I have to sell off some other assets to be able to cover the 100 shares...Which will make most of my portfolio be TSLA then, lol.

Someone in one of the discord’s I am in came in and kept ranting about TLRY for like 3 hours strait quite a few days ago before it skyrocketed but I didn’t have extra money available to buy any.
