Am I weird for having two turntables in my posh kitchen?

I have a ruddy big kitchen in my middle-class house and in one corner I have placed two turntables and two Bowers & Wilkins speakers.

My missus hates it, because every Sunday morning I get up and put on a track.

She is from a good family and Cambridge University educated and thinks my behaviour is nothing more than something learned from the peasantry!

Am I a degenerate ******* who should instead buy headphones and retreat to the study instead of living it LARGE in the kitchen on a Sunday morning?

Should this behaviour be relegated to teenagers?

It's ruddy big. You could fit a Rugby team in it no bother.

Not at all! That's where mine go for house parties (unless we are outside in the summertime). I put mine away after use because I don't want food on them.

What mixer are you using? balanced line out?

Im in the market for a new one, I dont think I would use 4 channels though - maybe 3 to hook the drum machine in.

I like the Allan Heath ones, but dont want to pay the price. Might settle on a pioneer with the optical cross fade.

I had a Vestax back in the day and got tired of replacing the cross faders

Nah man, you’re just odd in general, don’t worry ‘bout it. It’s good to be unique.

I get it bro. I tried my hands at CDJs a while back, but never really enjoyed it as much. I had American Audio CDJ500 (i think)

I use rekordbox more and more so I can play requests that I would never buy on vinyl - i.e. the wifes music
