You went with 3810s or 210s? The 210s aren't rated to stop even .308...the 3810s are basically a level 4 plate minus the 30-06 AP round test.

Anyone think that movie productions will have trouble sourcing firearms and ammunition for new movies?
I don't know whether blanks use the same primers as standard rounds but I understand there to be a shortage of primers among many other components.
I didn't notice anything different during other panics so I do not know whether this is any different. However it is something that crossed my mind lately.

Is IMI any good? I have zero experience with their ammo. Some local guys I know are fine with it and with South Korean ammo but I have no personal experience with it.

They don't buy new guns every time they want to film...they hire companies with armories to provide firearms. Ammo (generally) may be expensive but it's available...it's a drop in the bucket for a movie budget.

From my records, which are limited, magazines are slightly up in price but most firearms I follow have increased in price. For example: Glock G45 is up by $100 in most places. Marlin 1894 cowboy up by at least $100 in most places as well. Q Honey Badger doubled in price and resells for substantially more on gunbroker. Molot Veper 12 up by $150.00. CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S2 Micro up by $275. Maxim Defense PDX up by $300.00.
No change to the price of a CZ75 Tactical Sport Orange and Tommy Built tactical builds though.
I've bookmarked most of these from various online sellers at least one year ago and when bookmarking them I noted the price. Some of the prices are from more than one year ago. It's understandable that some production costs have increased.
I suppose it depends on what you are looking for in the long run. However, these increases do not compare to the increase in the cost of ammunition - except for the Honey Badger - that price increase is nuts.

This was in stock yesterday for a couple of hours.

https://www.natchezss.com/cci-blazer...oose-pack.html

The main problem has been just finding the glocks around here. You can find about anything on the used market, but prices are potato.

It has me looking at CZs again. I've seen P10-S and P10-C for almost normal prices recently.

Okay, but, the post I quoted to write that response was talking about paying college tuition from selling guns. Glocks going up $100 is, like, you can buy a really nice steak dinner with the profit lol

Oh - I did not read the post you were responding to. But I'm in agreement with you, paying college tuition from selling guns won't work (unless you are re-selling Q honey badgers).

The bubble burst months ago. Some of us were getting $2k+ for a franken-AR, or PSA that we had ~$400 into, at the height of the bubble. Beat up old shotguns were going for $1k. It was retarded.

Link to story please? Not that I do not believe you, I simply want to read more about this nonsense. I found a link on reddit to the bill proposed by the house banning anything over 50 caliber and shotguns:https://old.reddit.com/r/Hawaii/comm..._pass_sb307_a/

What is it...more red flag type prohibitions, all ammunition orders must go through FFL, restrictions on who can have/buy ammo, a felony to sell ammo to a prohibited person, cop exemptions...that kinda sum it up?

Like an AWB? Possible, but not yet here. If I wanted to replace what I sold, I could do it at cost today and have roughly the same amount of money in profit.

That is what they will put forth and talk/voting on such a bill is what will drive firearms prices potato.

One day you'll be able to say you could replace at cost, the next day, not so much.

I went with the agilite Raider plates when I bough the k19, which are effectively 3810's. In fact they just hit my doorstep. The final piece of my agilite collection (got the AMAP as a Christmas gift).

Awesome man. Let me know how you like the Agilite carrier. That whole setup (integrated pack) is very similar to what we ran in the IDF and I always liked it.

i dunno if ppl are in the new thread yet, so i'm gonna copy paste my post here too

just got my bcm ambi charging handle delivered to replace my old non-ambi bcm ch from several years ago.

I havent installed it yet, but first impressions are kinda meh. I might return it

I didn't know this until now, but they released new models out couple years ago. complete redsign in the latch system

on my old one, i could engage the latch with my finger, on this new one, it's actually pretty hard to have the ambi side even move the latch. Granted, it's not installed yet, so maybe when on the gun, the pulling angles will be different, but still find it odd. what i wanted was that buttery smooth release to just rip and rack it back. Seems i might have to muscle it

The other thing is I had a medium latch last time and its perfect, the medium on this new model seems to be way smaller. like the medium is now what the normal or small was, and a large might be what the medium used to be

Any of you have experience with the "new" bcm ambi's?
