Do you have any insight into the island/area (Naples, etc.).

Yeah there are a lot of retired folks on Marco, and older snowbirds who come down.

It's a gorgeous island though.

I don't understand the appeal of Marco Island. It's nice and pretty, but boring. I've been going to Naples for 20 years, own property there. Marco is 15 minutes away down 951 on the cusp of the Everglades. I've been 4 times because my wife has dragged me.

My brother lives in Naples, he and his fat ugly wife go all the time. I couldn't imagine sitting 20 minutes in a car with her, never mind going to a boring place.

I have 5 couple who are friends of ours flying down there for April vacation. They asked me what they can do besides go to the Snook inn and the beach. I told them, "go to Mercato in Naples."

You could smell the money when you cross over into the island. Unless old, white and rich i wouldn't wanna live there since everything is catered to that type of folks

I love it there and consider getting a second home there, since Naples is so close. Naples would be cheaper, though. I love the beach and watersports.

I've been seeing a lot of threads about Florida lately.

I went there in August and it was bad. But luckily they have AC everywhere. We don't have AC in a lot of places in California, which is horrible when it's over 100.
