Flu is also a generic term. It doesn't only mean influenza viruses. Much the way Kleenex is a specific brand of tissue paper, yet is also used as a generic term to refer to all tissue papers, a flu is used to refer to a viral respiratory infection distinctly different from and harsher than the common cold.

BTW, you can't use a semantic distinction to dismiss an argument. That's a fallacy. I can't quite recall if it's official name is "throwing out the baby with the bathwater fallacy", but that's essentially the gist of it.

Keep in mind. I'm not asserting that it's an influenza virus when calling it a superflu... I'm asserting that it's no more dangerous than previous superflus.

Because it will soon be forced. UK is already planning to require it for travel as Johnson declared this week. This vaccine & the continual “updates” they require you to get will kill more & more people than CV-19 ever had

Well the reason people care is they want herd immunity. If you can't get the vaccine for some reason and are susceptible to the virus, you are protected when enough people get the vaccine to basically limit a virus's ability to spread. That's why I'm generally pro-vax. In California we regularly had outbreaks of diseases because of fukheads refusing to vax their kids.

This vaccine is different tho AFAIC, it's new, new tech, and no long term info and TPTB want us to accept their word that they have our best interests after fukking up the original COVID response? Fuk right off with that. I was following this chit right out of China, reading chit all over and KNEW chit was hitting the fan. I almost sold my stocks the week before the bottom fell out in Feb (hey they recovered, so no loss now) but fukking warehouse slinging plebe stocked up on exactly the right supplies WEEKS before schit started getting bad-that tells me that us internet nerds aren't the only ones knowing chit was getting bad. Senators knew and sold their stocks, medical professionals all over the world knew it was going to be bad and lied about masks, told us to be calm while they could figure schit out in slo-mo while the virus just ravages nursing homes and cities across the world. BRB let's put COVID patients in nursing homes. Fuk you NY. BRB let's transfer prisoners in and out. Fuk you CA.

If we were able to trust any of these morons I'd be on board. Everyone fukked up. That's ok, it makes it clear-we have to be in it for ourselves. No govt is there for us. The people in charge are as dumb and slow (or dumber and slower) than us down here.

It sucks we're all in the situation we're in because of them, but they've already bought into something completely ridiculous because it makes them feel smart. You think that if you can reason in your perfect (according to you) intelligent way, they'll see the light? They won't unless "TPTB" tell them to.

They're not "conspiratards", they listen to science. The fact that most of them have never actually met an actual scientist, or studied anything themselves is totally lost on them. It's a total appeal to authority, that doesn't even make sense, since it would mean that science and scientists are some uniform body in total agreement about everything.
I find it pretty interesting that people like yourself will always mock the character of a person but never the argument they present. It’s a good slight of hand way to avoid looking foolish in front of everyone without ever actually having to debate. But this is the world we live in today. You have no argument so your best response is to insult on a totally irrelevant topic

If you're talking about morons who call food poisoning "stomach flu" then uh yeah, maybe you have a point. Words have meaning tho, and if you want to be taken seriously it's a good idea to use the right terms. I know when elterrible says "literally superflu" he's not being literal, but if you want to come off as making a serious argument schit like this is distracting.

You can't say that because there were 300K more deaths in 2020 than in 2019, COVID must be the cause of those 300K deaths. It's not statistically sound reasoning.

You're right we shouldn't worry about how we're perceived, but any normal person gets bothered by being labeled something they're not. Nobody likes being called a racist if they're not, but because of a tiny fringe element, it can taint the group. The same goes for conspiracy idiots like Kreug. Just because he and I agree about not getting the vaccine, how we reached that conclusion is very different and I don't want my reasons to be confused as being the same as that nutjob's.

I was referring to the people lining up to get the covid vaccine in my post, preaching the good word of science despite not knowing anything about it, not to you, and how guilt by association is silly in this context since those two are so adamant about not having anything to do with you. I'm not sure how you morphed that into a personal attack against yourself.

Let us not forget suicides, and the rise in alcohol consumption and fast food. Also, in the middle of the pandemic I recall an interview with a hospital authority expressing deep concern that admissions due to heart issues were down to 45% of prepandemic levels from the year before....and the fact that many of these people might not be addressing life threatening health issues. How many people stayed home instead of heading to the hospital and ended up dying when they didn't have too? Thankfully there was plenty of entertainment to be had with those nurses on tik tok.

Nowhere in my post did I claim that. All I said was comparing Covid deaths to regular flu season deaths was ridiculous, which it is. Of course there could be many reasons why there was an increase in deaths, I never disputed that.

Why is this so hard for you to understand? 330k “COVID” American deaths in 2020 (minus the 94% that had comorbidity) is 20k American deaths due to COVID without co-morbidity. 20k deaths compared to even half the 2018 influenza deaths still makes influenza far deadlier

Yep, people putting off procedures and scheduled check ups and a host of other factors are going to increase the death stats far into the future. It's just going to be exponential as we move forward in time.

They were categorizing all deaths as Covid. The CDC directed all medical professionals to list ALL DEATH CASES as COVID. This was at the direction of an obscure group called CSTE (Counsel State and Territorial Epidemiologists). This gave the CDC plausible deniability

Don't forget how many were murdered in hospitals early on by being forced on to ventilators. Those people would have mostly survived without that.

The mask?

You must not have seen the memo.

It's 2 masks now. They want us all to wear 2 masks now. 1 isn't enough apparently. I'm not even joking.

Thank you! Such an obvious thing, I can't believe it needs to be explained to anyone. It's like comparing death numbers between two contagious diseases, one in lockdown quarantine conditions, wearing masks, travel restrictions, school closings, all non essential business closed, no indoor and at times outdoor dining and the other with absolutely no restrictions was even remotely appropriate and think that it would give an accurate comparison. That's why I think that people that compare flu deaths to Covid aren't seeing the full picture.

Oh I know. Soon it will be Saran Wrap the whole body & face, then put clothing on,& then triple mask.
If you are somehow still able to breathe & move about... a nurse will be by shortly to administer the vaccine.

I will state the problem with this vaccine simply and without being dramatic.

To understand the efficacy and safety of a drug/vaccine, we needCROSS SECTIONAL STUDIESandLONGITUDINAL STUDIESto be conducted.

Cross sectional studiesshow the immediate effect of the target substance on alarge group of people

Longitudinal studiesfollow asmall number of peopleover along period of time(10 + years) to begin to understand long term effects

Due to the various incentives to address COVID,funding can be made available to increase the number of participants of cross sectional studies.

However, since we have no time machine, we cannot follow study participants over a long period of time no matter how much funding or interest there is.

So the long term effects are not close to being adequately studied because the lack of longitudinal studies on this vaccine.
