Anyone else have almost no responsibilities?

Apart from going to work I have literally no other responsibilities. Even at work I barely do fuk all especially since covid.

I still live my parents so have my food cooked for me. The only bills I pay is money towards rent, phone bill, gym membership, xbox/netflix subscription etc so I have lots of disposable income to spend on what I want within reason. In my free time/days off I usually don't even wake up till 12 or 1pm as I love my sleep.

Yet half my friends are in serious relationships or have kids, live on there own so have way more bills to pay. I couldn't imagine having to ask a girlfriend/wife permission to do something or waking up at 6am to screaming kids lol.

Misc still hasn't grasped the difference between asking for permission and communicating plans to a partner.

I kind of feel the only responsibility I have is to ensure I keep in touch with family/friends and this is pretty daunting to me. I’d prefer to be left alone.

Eg : I have to text my uncle every few days just as a way of keeping touch otherwise I seem like I’m being chitty. I have to see my dad every few weeks. I have to meet up with a friend every few weeks/months depending on what friend it is to ensure I don’t lose them as a friend etc.

The friends thing is the worst as I have way too many. It’s difficult. When I try to explain to people I find it hard keeping in touch with so many people they laugh but they don’t understand that it’s genuinely quite difficult keeping in touch with so many friends and making sure I see them etc all the time.

agree with everything itt except living under same roof as parents and waking up past 12pm. I used to be a big sleeper but the past few years I've discovered that hanging out in the early morning is just as good as hanging out late at night, actually makes the day feel longer, and easier to maintain a healthy and regular sleep cycle

just lmao at having kids during pandemic and school closures

I have a friend who I work with and pre covid whenever we wanted to make plans or go out drinking he'd have to ask his gf if its okay, most of the time she'd be cool with it but still the whole concept makes me cringe.

idk there are not that much responsibilities

my dad always overhyped difficulties of adulthood to me when i was young. though that is probably preferable than blowing my ass up telling me i could be the next bill gates and am a special snowflake. thing was i was a smart kid that would be reasonably successful, you have to recognize if you have a dumb ass on your hands or not

If you are a home/property owner then there is more chit to worry about and you having to decide if you want to do it yourself or pay a lot for someone else to fix things. if you rent and live below your means you have very little responsibilities, you actually have extra money every month and can basically do whatever you want

I work weird shift patterns so my sleeping patters fuked.

One week I'll do 6am till 3pm and then next week I'll work 3pm till 11pm.

I absolutely fuking despise early morning shifts and having to get up at stupid o'clock , just feel drained and want to nap when I get home, have no energy to train/lift no matter how much caffeine I have.

Atleast when I work on lates I actually get a decent sleep, its why I try to sleep in as much as possible whenever I dont have to get up early.

I work at a train station, some shifts I don't have to start till 3pm while others I have to get up at 5am depending on what week it is.

Thats why I prefer late shifts as I get much better sleep.

Part of what keeps me going is having responsibilities. So I prefer those types of jobs and hobbies that require a lot of work/maintenance. Make your responsibilities relate to what you enjoy. This has been the key for me anyway. Then everything I do, I find at least somewhat enjoyable.

I know far too many women and some men that do little to fuk all and they're generally pretty miserable people to be around.

Holy **** ibby. Your posts scream out insecurities. Lives at home, works a dead end job and spends his spare time sleeping with escorts and then makes out that the second you get into a relationship you get tied down and have to ask for permission

Don't you get lonely without pets? I have 2 cats and they bring a lot of happiness.

The problem is when one is sick, like mine now, and I'm at the vet almost every day picking up medicines for him.
