It's like comparing death numbers between two contagious diseases, one in lockdown quarantine conditions, wearing masks, travel restrictions, school closings, all non essential business closed, no indoor and at times outdoor dining and the other with absolutely no restrictions was even remotely appropriate and think that it would give an accurate comparison. That's why I think that people that compare flu deaths to Covid aren't seeing the full picture.
It’s not debatable, Covid is far less deadly than the flu. Science is the pursuit of favorable probability. Science is not a democracy.

To understand the efficacy and safety of a drug/vaccine, we needCROSS SECTIONAL STUDIESandLONGITUDINAL STUDIESto be conducted.
Cross sectional studiesshow the immediate effect of the target substance on alarge group of people
Longitudinal studiesfollow asmall number of peopleover along period of time(10 + years) to begin to understand long term effects
Due to the various incentives to address COVID,funding can be made available to increase the number of participants of cross sectional studies.
However, since we have no time machine, we cannot follow study participants over a long period of time no matter how much funding or interest there is.
So the long term effects are not close to being adequately studied because the lack of longitudinal studies on this vaccine.

Some of those patients went to get the vaccine after having already made it past Covid-19 for fourteen days, another I read was fifteen days past it. And then they go an get a shot? It makes no sense to me. If you have overcome the virus for two weeks, you have gotten past the worst of of it, and would then need to focus on treating any issues that arise from the virus for a while. After you get a coronavirus infection, you have cross-reactive immunity; your immune system should be sufficient enough to handle a second bout. But they dived right into the vaccines when their body is still recovering and trying to heal itself
The SARS-CoV-II virus has an Infection Mortality Rate that is three to four times higher than that of any influenza virus. This is SARS, not influenza. You would be wise to be more cautious and apt to treat the symptoms with whatever is proven to help aid your immune system in fighting the virus. It's not like the flu where you get it and feel like chit for two, three or four days and then get back to it. For some it is, for others they will be dealing with more severe, alarming symptoms such as difficulty breathing to use one example. People of all ages are experiencing or having trouble breathing when contracting this virus. Even healthy individuals in their twenties are experiencing some level of shortness in breath
Staying on top of health and knowing how to fight this virus correctly is important. Even those who are healthy as fuk right now, what happens if they catch the virus after a weekend of cheat meals, alcohol, poor sleep from partying and put their system through that kind of strain? Will that make a difference? There are so many variables that will play a part in how each individual handles this virus and the disease. Hopefully everyone makes the right choices to allow their bodies to effectively kill off the virus quickly after infection
If you're feeling terrible and think you're sick, learning and practicing prone positioning and treating symptoms early will be a crucial step to take early on. Protecting the lungs early during any early signs of distress should be priority IMO. I never had to consider any of this in the past but now it's apparent that this novel coronavirus is a fair bit rougher and potentially, deadlier, than your typical cold or flu and should be treated as such. I think the precautions everyone is taking are appropriate and I think that you should consider your health bro. Nobody wants to live in fear, but it is best to not write this virus off as the flu or like the flu, because it is not. Even if many are asymptomatic and the ones who do get hit by Covid-19 survive, the implications of SARS-CoV-2 clearly have proven more severe than any flu viruses. This has been observed

As far as infection rate being that much higher than the flu..is it? We are using a PCR test..which is a BACTERIA test..not a VIRAL test. Here is Kerry Mullins the creator of the test explaining how it should NEVER be used to test viruses..btw, he “conveniently” died right before the outbreak...
https://mobile.twitter.com/robinmono...33369222029312
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=ZmZft4fXhQQ
It is an RNA virus, that means that each time someone gets sick & the virus goes through them, it morphs into a new subtype.
So they are either testing that an individual had CV 7 yrs ago (up to) & now a possible anti-body or are they specifically isolating CoV-2, which is impossible to do, based on length of time it has been present as we know there are 30 sub strains of the virus, for we know the WuHan Virus was different from the strand in Italy, then again different in Iran, then morphed again in New York, & CA..all back in April we were being told this
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.new...0-strains.aspx
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.lat...al%3f_amp=true
https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/co...tudy-finds.amp
We are testing superficial swabs, fecal matter swabs, posterior throat swabs, poked fingered antibodies, so if you get an IGG antibody does that mean you are currently sick but recovering or does it mean, that you have an IGG antibody from the CV 17 yrs ago that you had. If you have an IGM antibody & are a systematic does that mean you are infected & might be spreading..
All the above data is mixed or taken out making all of it have no validity since no true denominator is established. Therefore we have no understanding of incidence prevalence, making death rate completely irrelevant.

Everyone I know who has been vaccinated has been fine. Zero side effects. Most of them work with vulnerable people or the elderly, so it was a way for them to be more or less protected from getting it and spreading it to the vulnerable populations they work with. Besides these people, nobody I know is considering accepting the vaccine. Basically, in my circle, the ones who will be taking the 2 doses are:
Old and frail
Have some kind of auto-immune deficiency or have compromised immune systems in general
Are in positions where they work directly with vulnerable individuals
Women who are scared of getting covid while pregnant
That's pretty much it. I don't really think I'll take it as I don't work with said populations and I am not worried about getting covid. The downside is that, if I do get it and have to isolate, I don't get paid. I currently work on contract and only get paid for the hours I do work with no backup plan (self-employed). That would be a schitty situation, but fukin a way she goes.

how many people die from cancer/chemo, covid and diabeetus?
i'll take it if it means i can see family, go to dance clubs and visit countries.
tho i'mnot a big fan of the 2nd shot. That's where mnost bad side effects come - or for thowse who already had covid.

I'm just curious about something - how many of you who are fervently against the covid vaccine also happen to be against vaccinations of all kinds? Think about the vaccines we receive as babies and children. Is there a correlation in this thinking? Being a scientist myself, my initial concern was the lack of longitudinal studies with this vaccine that was developed very quickly. That's where my mind went.

Being a scientist myself, my initial concern was the lack of longitudinal studies with this vaccine that was developed very quickly. That's where my mind went.
1. Covid is not polio, Ebola, or really some serious disease that is going to cripple or kill me. So there is a lack of serious need to be vaccinated against.
2. There has not been enough time to study the long term effects of this new vaccine. If it’s been around for 15 years and longitudinal studies completed and it turns out to be safe, I’ll consider it then.

Also, people are fighting each other for it right now so there's not even enough to go around for the people who want it.
