In my travels around the world, I've also noticed striking similarities between Americans and Australians, both in terms of the morbid obesity but also with the general arrogance and entitlement. When I was in Europe, I could tell who was American just by their level of entitlement or ignorance (obviously a stereotype, but still). The Aussie accent gave it away but a lot of the Aussie families I'd run into definitely mirrored that sense of entitlement as well.

GDP is one of the poorest wealth measurement.

A more interesting one is GDP per capita (adjusted for pop) + Purchasing Power Parity. But then a good counter-example to that is Ireland. Ranks much higher than the USA but a lot of it is skewed due to the low af corporate tax that keeps money in Ireland flowing in. Not necessarily to the average Irishman.

Depends on where in the US you are. Some parts are almost entirely of British ancestry but others have almost no British ancestry.
