Rate my Friday evening cocktail /10!!!

Negroni Sour. Saw this on a cocktail page, had to try it. So good.
3/4 oz gin
3/4 oz Campari
3/4 oz sweet vermouth
3/4 simple syrup
3/4 oz lime juice
1 egg white

Wet shake and then dry shake for foamy goodness.

So you shake with ice, pour, empty the ice from the shaker, and then pour the drink back in and shake again?

Looks amazing. I made a Clover Club recently. Basically a Gin Fizz but with Raspberry Simple Syrup in it.

I tend to shake dry first and then shake with ice after.

Correct. Shake with ice to cool and dilute first, remove the ice and shake again. Makes the foam thiccccccc

Yeah it helps make the foam thicc, and softens the edges of the Campari and gin.

I've never shaken a Negroni before but looks like I'm cracking an egg and giving her a whirl, as they say at the helicopter factory

I made everything double proportions, worked well. I think I'd reduce the simple syrup just a bit, but I know all simple syrups vary a little in strength

OP also inspired me to follow this up with an amaretto sour. DiRossano is the goat liqueur

To potentially give back to you all, I highly recommend this absolute beast of a cocktail shaker. An absolute joy to own and use, the vacuum seal prevents any cold fingers and the measuring top is absolutely perfect. Fit and finish on everything is impeccable, mogs the fuk out of every other shaker I've ever owned

I upped everything to 1.5oz for the second one:

It’s pretty good. The egg white ratio on number two was more palatable. I like whiskey sours so I figured I’d like this sour too. I’m not switching to gin but this was good for tonight and I’m glad I gave it a try.

Nice, for that amount I would do 2 egg whites and a large shaker. That’s quite a large drink you made.
