Looking for a consensus here. Do you guys believe that kindness is

Weakness and something ti be exploited?

Dont get me wrong. I know there js a time and place for everything. Common curtersies should always be forth co.ing. but just as a whole

Do you think this world has reached the point to where the good book in all ita wise words serves one better to ignore than to adhere. To?

You should always strive to be nice unless you're given a reason not to. If you're still nice then, then yeah, I would consider that a weakness.

Considering the countless number of unkind acts that have been done in the name of religion, I'm not sure if the "good book" is particularly relevant here, but setting that aside, yes, I think being kind is worthwhile and important. Just don't be a pushover. Standing up for yourself and your loved ones is more important than kindness.

Only wanna be tough guys mistake kindness for weakness. Its a deeply rooted behaviour .

Especially on warrior cultures such as the japanese. If you are rude and disrespectful to others you are doing nothing but dishonoring you and yours.

Hence why i always say ignorance and stupidity os nest left ignored. Till the time comes when such ignorance trys to put hands on you and yours.

Kindness is a basic expression of compassion so yeah I'd say it's important to show some every once a while to prove you have a soul.

Well, yes, people can take advantage, but just because you want to be kind doesn't mean you have to be stupid about stuff. Plus, IMO, it's still better to be kind than not.

As far as the original question... just like every other personality trait it can be both a strength and a weakness. Generally you should strive to be kind to others and put more good into the world. Obviously if someone is taking advantage of you then you should refrain from allowing yourself to be taken advantage of. I will also add that letting vengeance be a factor in your decision-making and approach to life makes things worse. So not only should you strive to be kind as much as possible, you should also strive to avoid being mean as much as possible(though there may be a rare situation or two when it is necessary).

Don't expect your kindness to be reciprocated immediately or directly to you.

However most of decent people would realize it later in their lives and feel they want to"pay it forward."

So somebody else would receive another kindness in the future which is originated from your kindness.

I look like a tough, mean POS but am very kind to people I like. I enjoy catching people off guard by being nice when they fully expect me to be the opposite. I think kindness is getting ever more rare in society as a whole but we'll see how it goes. It's not beta to be kind if you don't look/act like a beta *******. Hope this helps

Some people do think kindness is weakness. Which are usually the people that werenโ€™t raised right. Always try to be kind to people but can go absolutely ruthless if pushed and it always surprises people.

This. I always prefer to treat people with common courtesy until they give me reason not to. Itโ€™s funny when some chitbag tries to take advantage and get met with my opposite side, Iโ€™ll go completely 180 on them if given the reasons to and they arenโ€™t ever as tough as they act when you were being cool. I have never experienced kindness even from strangers in k-12. Even in college, people try to act nice to get you to do their homework and even try to bribe me with money, I'm like fuk no. High GPA = busted my ass. All retards and cheaters can fail.
