Just had this fukin neighbor guy get dropped off in a car. The guy walked up to my window and said "hey kitty kitty cat". Then he walked away and heard him go into his house. (they slam doors) My cat was in the window and the window was cracked open. I am sitting at the desk and the window is directly in front of me. It scared the **** out of me. I have a self defense tool in the desk drawer.

I am looking for maybe 2 outdoor security cameras. Maybe more idk. I need something that is infrared I think. I also dont know what kind of software I will need to be able to record the footage or if I need one of those stand alone DVRs with a hard drive.

Is there anything good for ~$200-250? I need to get it set up asap.

I use wyze cameras. They're pretty affordable. They have pretty good infrared images too. They're like $40 and you use an app with them. The deluxe app service is like $14 per camera per year.

If they're wifi cameras cant you just look at whats connected on your wifi and use the camera ip address and get around using their app? I am trying to avoid using an outside app, I want to control everything myself and dont want others to access it.

Vivint uses satilite and I believe wifi to connect to the i home panel. No one accedes it from my research they are better than everyone

I'm in FL. I used to live in a city and it got really dangerous. The two things that made me move was attempted car jacking and then 1.5 months later I had my door kicked in. So I moved out of the city 2 hours north. Now over the last couple years it is getting really bad here too. Its gotten to where I cant even stop and buy gas without vagrants coming up and harassing me demanding money and not taking no for an answer. Cant even go to the drive through ATM here or anything. So now if I need anything I have to drive 30-45 minutes north from here. And that area is getting bad too. I cant keep skipping around trying to escape it. I am looking for property in missouri or arkansas or somewhere in the forest on at least 2+ acres with no neighbors. Idc if I have to live in a shed, I cant live in FL anymore. There's no point in living in a city and dealing with all the negatives when the positives dont even exist. Its too dangerous to be around other people here and if I gotta drive 45 minutes to even do anything I might as well live in a forest away from town anyway

Yeah but I dont want a middle man. If I want to access it from somewhere else I can just change my settings to allow port forwarding and ssh into the cameras if I wanted. I dont ever leave the house anymore though. Its only temporary for in case somebody is breaking in and I need to defend myself so I have objective evidence so I dont go to jail forever.
