Import bans can happen quick. You guys should have plenty 30rd mags by now.

Agree on mags wish I would have bought less mags and more ammo. Didn’t see the ammo thing coming. I thought having a couple thousand rounds of each caliber would be enough to last. Ima be fooked in a year or so at this rate.

'Biden' isn't banning all ammo imports.
But, if he did, ammo prices and availability problems would extend far beyond commie calibers. They would be the worse, by far, of course, but, I mean...IMI, PPU/Prvi, PMC, Magtech/CBC, RWS, Lapua, Fiocchi, Aguila, Geco, S&B, Yavex, basically all milsurp ammo including all the NATO cartridge stuff and obviously all combloc ammo..and on and on and on. Remove all of those from the supply and say hello to $5/round 5.56. But that's like predicting $10/gal gas national avg

If you could get $700 for the gun by itself, no magazines, no ammo, no holster, just the gun...that would be time to sell.

And if anyone wants to get into AKs I'd go for the 5.45x39. You can still stockpile plenty of 7N6 rounds. I think it's a superior round in terms of damage. Check out ballistic comparisons between 7.62x39, 5.45x39 and 5.56x45. Plenty of gel block videos you can reference on youtube.

Can you quote where it says M193 was used into the 90s? What I see indicates no 193 use by US military in combat after 1980
". The Belgian round, the SS109, won the trials and was designated as the standard NATO infantry rifle cartridge under NATO Standardization Agreement (STANAG) 4172 in 1980. Most NATO nations adopted the SS109 as their first 5.56 round. The United States adopted it as the M855, painting the tip green to allow soldiers to easily differentiate it from older M193 ammunition.
The ammunition used by the soldier was the M855 “green-tip” projectile, adopted by the U.S. Army and Marines in the 1980s.
The M16A2 and M855 combination was used by the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marines through the 1980s and into the 1990s
The Mk262 offered better terminal performance in flesh and ballistic performance compared to M855, even when fired from short carbines. Early in the post 9/11 era, most SOCOM units switched to the Mk262 round for all their 5.56 weapons. The USMC also ordered Mk262 in limited quantities in the mid-2000s.
This round was called Mk318 Special Operations Science and Technology (SOST). It was adopted by SOCOM in 2007, replacing the use of Mk262 in most roles"

Should I mag dump a thousand rounds through it to see? His many rounds you think until I can safely say “hey, this thing isn’t coming off.” 5k? A tactical response class?

I still think he's mistaken. But he genuinely said he'd never seen green tips before.
