What has changed your views on Conservative Policy

Am not a liberal.

What things about the Republican party do you hate?

Obviously conservatives of the boomer variety are not the same as young conservatives.

What would you say as a young conservative bothers you about the Republican party.

That neither party will start to push the envelope on ending prohibition and mass incarceration surrounding drugs blows my mind, but it is most disappointing with the small government individual rights type who are conspicuously silent.

If you're actually a conservative, you aren't republican in 2021. Not one single aspect of the Republican Party is "Conservative."

One day I hope more and more people wake up to the fact that the repubs and Trump are and were being used to promote leftism. Their act in the play of political theater is to be the loser. They cry and scream and speak truth and push back. They say all the right things. But lose. Always. On purpose. But it keeps the sheeple watching and bitching. I laugh so hard when I see repubs go nuts when AOC plays her role of trolling them.

OP for the record, I am traditional conservative. Not the Ben Shapiro blow up a town in the middle east as payback for destroying our precious 4 billion dollar drone conservative. Or the Charlie Kirk look at my gay black lover conservative who says the right things to the whities while I take pictures with trannies and talk about gay pride in Israel conservatism.

Republicans claim to be Christian, but if they encountered the injured person in the Biblical parable of the Good Samaritan, extreme right wingers would tell the person beat up in the side of the road to get a job. To me, that’s not Christianity, no matter how hard you may work, there are times when others need charity. Some people can’t comprehend that.

Another thing is the racism, I’m half Mexican, and I’ve been told by republicans to go back to Mexico, that the republican party doesn’t need people like me because they see it as an all white club.

I’ve been a republican for a long time, but those are the problems I have with our party.

corrupt as hell, much more than democrats on average. Most are sociopaths and enjoy seeing people who are less wealthy suffer. Filled with politicians who will accept tiny amounts for insane bribes. Now democrats are corrupt as well, but the average democrat politician is easily less corrupt/sociopathic compared to a republican one. In the end your vote doesn't matter cause the people at the very top wont change.

- Trillion dollar wars in peasant countries that achieve nothing
- Socialism for wealthy and government class, rugged individualism for everyone else
- Money printers working overtime to give corporations and rich guys welfare (imagine telling Keynes or Friedman that the "conservatives" printed $9T out of thin air)
- Massive support for police which goes against personal freedom in 1000 different ways
- Gaping holes and market failures ignored in areas like energy and healthcare
- Regressive tax rates that crush the middle class
- They hold the door wide open for immigrants which artificially suppresses labor markets
- Sending all kinds of money overseas, despite being a country in decline
- Interfering with and then ignoring the hilariously bloated higher Education system, when we KNOW that's the only way to increase GDP in the long term
- Allowing countries like China to have huge leverage over us by moving our entire manufacturing capacity there
- Allowing religious interests to corrupt the party
- Sabotaging the economy while keeping plebs distracted with social issues

ALL of these things are the literal opposite of conservative.

The criminal justice system in the present US will be looked at with shock and scorn a century from now. After someone has "paid their debt to society" we treat them like POS too, which over time makes the recidivism rate ever higher. A self fulfilling prophecy. There is no small govt defense of the war on drugs. It's a coward's punishment way out of the human condition.

I never understood the diehard support for cops. Everyone should be armed for self defense. Liberals should be the ones supporting the police state to enforce their dumb laws.

BRB we love the police,
BRB why are we getting fined and hassled by police for not wearing masks.

That other stuff can be attributed to democrats as well.

I also remember a big one.

Should we ban employers from asking salary history?

Old conservatives say no because they were never asked for their blue collar work

Young blood days says yes because employers often don't disclose salary, but they want to know our salary.

Age of conservatives will generally show if they try to answer the following:

"Why don't employers show how much they are paying for a position?"

I'm not really asking if employers should be forced to disclose pay on job ads by the govt. (They shouldn't)

I'm saying employees shouldn't be forced to disclose pay.

For employers now, instead of asking "what's your prior salary?", They ask "What are your salary expectations.

I remember when this passed and old men on the misc were saying "LOLol I was never asked for my salary, you just gotta put in work during the interview", I'm just thinking then it shouldn't be problem for your old man ass to find a job either way.

And the "good comeback" they had "kids are fuked now, when employers ask what are their salary expectations, they won't know."

The reason to be against it is laughably bad. Jobs should have an idea what a position pays, if they underball and someone takes it, good for them. If they overpay, good for them. They shouldn't deliberately underball someone just because they made a lower salary at a prior job.

Now it forces college students / young professionals to understand their worth. Before, in the old system, companies dictated their value.

Under both systems no one is forced to take a job. But under the 2nd system (banning) it forced companies to really think about whether they want to hire someone. Which is find since they should have the resources to do so.

I live a conservative life and am registered GOP

"Conservatives" just aren't conservative anymore, at least the ones that are outspoken. It's just, whatever liberals/dems want, we want the opposite.

I'm convinced if there was a law requiring people to wipe their butt after pooping, Republicans would be "pro God-given butt stink" proudly announcing their monkey butt, stinking up any and all public places.

It's also irritating seeing women that have 50-100 dik count in their 20s becoming all GOD GUNS MERICA and ranting about "Biden's America" just in time to rope in a beta conservative provider

I am absolutely not a socialist but wealth inequality is absolutely a problem in this country that needs to be addressed.

The religious right is also completely retarded in nearly every capacity, dumb outdated social views ect

The war on drugs is an absolute failure but retard Republicans still think you should be locked in a cage for partaking in a different drug than them (their drug is alcohol)

I voted for trump and will continue voting republican but really don’t agree on everything

I consider myself a conservative but not a Republican by any means. The things that keep me distant from true conservatives are the extremist views on abortion, homosexuality, and immigration.

I'm pro-choice but I don't believe abortion should be funded by taxes and I don't believe it should be allowed beyond the first trimester, as was decided in RvW.

I believe homosexuality is not a choice and people should stop acting like it is. Again, I am against any tax money funding any special programs and I am against the progressive transgender movement. I am against allowing children to mutilate themselves to "be what they identify as". That's insanity.

I believe Republicans failed hard when given the opportunity to address immigration reform and it sucks that Biden will get something done, but it will ultimately fail anyway. There needs to be more understanding of why people want to come to the US and less hatred. But we also need liberals to get their heads out of their asses and realize that there are many people who come here with ill purpose.

Some of them are part of the 'uni-party' in government, how people describe it. A good lot were too weak and/or didn't want to give up their power when it mattered during this past election cycle. I suppose I consider myself more of a populist these days.

I have no idea how "it's bad for the economy is we give all the money to a few guys at the top" turned into "sOsHuLiSm!"

One of you first things you learn in undergrad econ is that the goal of any economy is the optimum distribution of resources.
