Mask rule lifted at my gym starting March 1st!!

Are we behind here in Illinois? Just got a text sayingm, starting 3/1/21 wearing a mask will be optional at my gym. Fuk yeah!!

I am from Illinois, where you get this? My gym staff is extremely relaxed about mask policies though but it might be because I go there till close and all the staff just stare at their phones till they kick everyone out lol.

Lol yeah, I've been going to a PF here because the on-base gyms are stupid with the rules. Was lifting with no one within 30 feet of me awhile back and some boomer walked right up to me to tell me I have to wear a mask while working out. Meanwhile at PF the mask is basically just for the front desk and the water fountain.
And relief washes over me in an awesome wave

That's how my gym was from like July-September. But then they forced you all to wear mask when you work out but they're not too strict on it anymore.

Im in the Northwest suburbs. Algonquin area


They're not strict. When I'm doing cardio I drop the mask below my chin.

On nice, I am pretty nearby but yea I do the same thing. I actually just take my mask off entirely when I run lol. But that's because I go late. I feel like my gym will eventually go easy on the masks. They use to take our temperature when we walk in but it seems like they stopped recently.

The only day I take advantage is on Sundays. No employees and its typically dead.

Since they have opened around here its been pretty standard

*mask on in the door up to the desk*

*check in*

*mask off once you get past the desk because you are "exercising"*

However , since I am a seasoned a$$hole and have been anti ****gy time mask crew out the gate. About the 3rd time they asked me about a mask and receiving smart ass remarks they said

"If you dont want to wear one all you have to do is sign this piece of paper stating you wont sue us if you catch covid"

WTF? next time lead with that chief

My gym is the same as far as making you walk in with one and not caring after that. Last month they started yelling at people to put their mask on the way out as well. I guess its a perception thing with people coming out of the gym maskless.
