I don't know if you remember 2017ish when it was on a bull run and everyone was investing their life savings into it. But then it crashed and people went silent on their crypto investments. Bitcoin was what, $5,300 in March of 2020? How many posters here loaded up on it at that price? Or sub 10K for that matter?

I can't disagree more strongly. Fractional shares are a positive aspect from a securities perspective. They increase the total addressable market for the stock/coin and bring in new investors with new money who would otherwise be locked out by the price. I mean...bitcoin is approaching $60k per coin. A large portion of that growth since April '20 has been retail investors DCA'ing-we can argue over what degree of growth versus the institutional money but I digress. Those people would never have been able to get in if you could only buy a full coin. And if more and more people can't buy it, then the price appreciation is limited. Stock splits work on the same principle. Apple and Tesla split their shares last year to encourage new investors to take a position that they couldn't afford at the former price.

I was a doubter when miscers were calling for 100k BTC years ago, but I bought a small portion anyways. I am a full believer now, and 100k seems like an inevitability rather than a pipedream. I'm hodling my humble bag to the end, and gathering more when I can. Also bought neo and XLM years ago on miscer advice, and recently took some good profits from it
