As a late bloomer sexually, I can tell you that it still haunts me

I feel a sense of regret mixed with sadness. The worst part is actually going through with it and finding it to not be everything that you thought it would be. For me, I was a virgin until 27, the same age that Playboy founder Hugh Hefner lost his virginity. I thought that I would suddenly have a world changing epiphany that would turn me from a boy into a man. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. You won't feel like an adult after your first time. I'm into my late 30's and still don't feel "grown up". Two of my biggest regrets are not having sex in high school/college and having sex at 27. The first has to do with being afraid of rejection and heart ache. The second with wasting my most intimate moment with someone who didn't care about me and didn't even know my name. Then again, my life is not yours. All I can say is choose a better path, and live without regrets.

Hi OP I was a late bloomer too. I threw away lots of opportunities as a teen because I was a shy and a timid young man with lots of insecurities. In the end, we can't change anything.
