I think FUN could be a decent play with Cedar Point opening back up in May. Pretty juicy dividend as well... likely to be reinstated.

I didnt technically lose money, my acct was at like 60k and I went hard on OPESW then blew it up to 85k I think then it dumped and I went back to square one lmao.

I remember stressing like ****ing crazy bc I tried to swing trade HLX at work one day and lost $700, fretted over that for a month.

After doing some charting and looking at the news, I am targeting May 8th for something profound to happen. I'll update with a more thorough post in the near future, but for now I think something big is brewing.

Burry thinks so.

However he has been calling it for while.

Imo if anything happens it will be after stimulus is past. Market will explode on that stimulus news.

Which will lead into stonks only go up mentality.

Moment will be there for rug pull.

Correction of some sorts has to happen at some point. Even in healthy market its normal.

You know how I know you're new at this and you're going to end up broke? Lmao.

It's cute that new investors think that 10x opportunities are easy to find and just pop up left and right. Count the number of $10 billion+ market caps on the TSX that have 10x'd over the past two years, lmao.

Current positions: IRA 100% PLTR long equity, Trading account 30% Jan 2023 calls purchased at $11.80 and 70% long equity with 1.25xish margin leverage.

Took a beat in the trading account on the $35 2/19 calls, given the circumstances I'd probably make the bet again, and the actual stock itself dropped by a third, so not all spilt milk (and sold half the position early for a 30ish% gain as well). Loaded up trading account Friday with wires that hit, have another cash wire hitting Monday morning and Friday which will go directly to Palantir long margined equity, hopefully at around the $30 price point. If the stock ticks into the mid 30's throughout the week, I'll likely hold off on adding margin to the entry this coming Friday.

Had $65 Jan 2023 calls as well picked up on Thursday and flipped Friday after the surge into more long margined equity in the trading account.

At this point the plan is to continue to add cash to the trading account and put as long margined palantir shares. I'm planning to sell the current calls around May, but that may change. I'll continue to add for the next 12 months or so, as long as the price stays under $50.

The primary adjustment that may occur, is if we have a broad market pullback of 20% then I'll sell some PLTR and put into broad market ETF, and will continue to average this down as/if the market continues to fall. Would likely divert 5% to start off with, so if market falls 20%, 5% of PLTR gets sold and placed into broad market.

IRA will be 10+ year hold, however after 12-18 months will likely not add to palantir and will let it ride. Trading account, this is liquid capital, after 12 months+ it may be pulled out and deployed elsewhere.

^^ I don't think there is a market bubble or that the equities are anything near overvalued. We will see DJIA 65,000 before a true bear market. Flash crashes will always happen from time to time, but they'll get bought up. The real bubble is govt. debt. GTFO of bonds for sure.

It was here in Denver yesterday. Pretty wild. United 777 from Denver to Honolulu . . . they were lucky it happened right after takeoff and not half-way across the ocean.

Betting it drops at least a bit tomorrow. FAA is ordering inspections and Boeing is grounding 777's with those specific Pratt & Whitney engines. Not a good look for Boeing on the heels of the Max shenanigans.

Could not tell you.

Most of these Boomer companies are gonna go under because they are stuck with bloated union contracts and extremely underfunded pensions that suck the soul out of the entire company.

haven't been in this thread before I don't think, but here's some gain / loss porn

bought 2500 shares of GME @ $21 around Dec 20 I think

sold at 38, rebought at 32, sold at 64, rebought at 69, etc all the way up. Turned a $160k net wealth into $500k or so, then back down to $250k

Spoiler!

yeah it was a pretty traumatic ride. The day it initially went to 150, I watched it all day ride up, and took screenshots all day. Then circuitbreakers dumped it down to $75 and I sold

spent the rest of the time chasing the dragon and kept losing lol. learned I don't know chit about options, thetagang, etc

right now I have everything invested in ARK ETFs, AAPL, MSFT, and CRSR. just playing it safe and selling covered calls for $1k-$3k/week.

Over the long term I should be pretty low risk and easily retire by 35

Smart man. Theta gang always feasts. I kinda had forgotten my roots as I went 100% spac, but I am going back towards that direction as SPAC companies get more and more watered down.

yeah it's a lot more fun to be on the winning side of time decay, that's for sure

I also learned I get mad FOMO watching gain porn, so I hopped on a lot of trades that lost. my top recent one is buying APHA at $29/share, selling covered calls on it, and then watching it tank down to $18/share the next day. Bought all my calls back and sold at a total loss of $30k.

fun times.
