Would you guys ever get a gf for lockdown?

Like not someone you’re totally bullish on - but just land someone real quick maybe even below your standards or what you typically go for

But just a gf for lockdown

It’s been a year now and I’m thinking it’ll be another year before lockdowns are over where I’m at

Just easier then doing the dating apps, usually I’d just go out and meet girls but you can’t even go out anymore so it’s literally dating apps or nothing

Just break up with her after lockdown when things are open up again snd it’s more convenient to be single

I think it's wrong to string a girl along if you have no intention of getting srs with her.

It's pretty sad and cynical for 2 ppl to just use each other for sex and not really care about each other imo. I get that that is considered normal nowadays, but that's why so many people are born out of wedlock and there is such a rise in domestic problems, mental health, etc.

And how did that work out? Imagine if you had spent those years with the right person? You'd have been building a real relationship. No sense wasting time with people you don't see a future with. You could be seriously hurting them or at best you both are just killing time and getting empty gratification. Many people who live that life regret it when they are older. You can't get those years back of a relationship.

That being said, a lot of real relationships start out casually so it's whatever. Maybe after a year of being with someone, you may actually realize you found someone you could be with for real. But if you're 100% sure you have no future with someone and you're just using them as a human fleshlight, imo it's wrong.

Unless you're planning on being up front with the girl and telling her the relationship is only temporary and you plan to go your separate ways after lockdown, you're actually pathetic if you think this is the right thing to do. You can't make someone your girlfriend when you have the intention of breaking up with them from the beginning, you're knowingly going to end up breaking them for selfish reasons. Misc puts women on blast for how they act in relationships but then propose doing things like this. Not saying this is you, but if you're not planning on letting her know your intentions then that's just sad and you need to get help
