"Seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, the remnants of humanity inhabit a perpetually-moving train that circles the globe, where class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out."

There is also a movie called Snowpiercer, but this thread is about the Tv-series that revolves around the same idea of a train with the last of humanity on it.

Todays episode had some awesome cinematography. I think 3 out of the 4 episodes in season 2 have been good.

one thing that I don't get is why a train? It seems so stupid going around the whole in a train. You need fuel, a full track around the world needs to be maintained. what if a tree or a rock falls over? And it's impossible to have one track all around the world.

And plus, when there's limited resources, I would not allocated any resources for the illegal immigrants to survive.

And how does the price of the ticket worth? And it doesn't make sense because you paid once for a lifetime for food and shelter.

It is kinda dumb, but you just gotta roll with it. Keep in mind the train can stop for a short moment if absolutely neccessary. So, if something is blocking the tracks they can quickly go out and remove it probably. Mr Wilford saw what was happening to the planet years in advance, so it took many years to build the track and the trains. Living in a village or something might have been more difficult, so a train it is.

I think the point (at least from the movies perspective) is that the train was very technologically advanced. It had a fuel source that was perhaps infinite? And it was built to withstand the conditions in even the harshest environments, which in end-of-the-world fashion, is everywhere.

The tracks will definitely never go bad. And building the tracks around the whole world? Fukking lol.

I did watch and enjoy the movie and was able to suspend disbelief for that, but I don't know about a whole fecking series.

I just like the director, Bong joon un or whatever. I'm skeptical of the series as well.

ItΒ΄s actually a pretty good show imo. Enjoyable for the most part, but had some bad episodes, but also some really good ones.
