She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

Das ****in it man, it happens but frustration is part of how you grow. It does create the impetus for growth, and it gives you a reason to make changes. Hopefully this time it prevents you from feeling that way again, but if not, I always have an ear for you brother.

I know good things are on the horizon for you this year.
Type, what's good bro? Can you clear some space in your PMs? Been meaning to get back to you but I haven't been miscing of late and, to be honest, been pretty lazy these past few weeks.

woke up one day this week and the flatness set in, but now i look way grainier/thin skinned and striations are starting to pop everywhere.

Honestly im probably just about lower BF then when i competes in 2019 and im still 7 and 10 weeks out.

Just dropped more food this week, fats are almost to trace now

It’s funny how when you’re cutting you critique yourself so much you’re like I look terrible. So flat and I feel like I’m getting fatter and losing muscle? At least that’s how I feel. Then I look back on pictures and I’m like damn I was shredded I looked awesome. Mine plays tricks haha. I guess that’s why people hire a coach for an outside perspective.

I’ve been trying, it’s pretty evident after a whole year these masks aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. I’ve went too long doing too little exercise.

I want to be muscular again, I’ll just need to deal with it.
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

I think im just used to it now plus im fine being smaller because I need to make weight. I have had to deal with those tricks before but mine is more of a problem with the opposite. in the offseason I look like chit and smaller for some reason, just how my structure is then people are shocked how much muscle I had underneath when I cut down. But also at my height and weight its just kind of like that, 290 off season peak and 230 on stage, and 230 bone dry 5% bf is huge to most and at least looks bigger than a somewhat chunky 290

Jumped on TRT a couple months ago and I’ve left humanity behind srs. A level of 1050 its already giving me crazy results, it’s ridiculous.

I may need to take it easier on the hyper trophy training and focus more on cardio centered training. I don’t like the look that much

290 is MASSIVE. So is 230 stage condition. Yeah it’s funny when I cut from 250 to 215lbs people would be like damn you are getting absolutely huge. And I’m like I dropped over 30lbs.... just being lean and having muscle gives you that look. It’s awesome. Cutting sucks but waking up and seeing less fat every week is awesome.

It's all an illusion to people.

I'm nowhere near your size when I cut for my shows.
My avi pic was taken the day after winning Masters Over 60 at 164 pounds.
I usually started my preps around 187 pounds.

During my preps people at the gym would comment that I was looking bigger.

As the muscles become more defined we look bigger regardless of our actual weight,

These reactions form others was one of the hings that kept me inspired to continue the prep. I saw myself as shrinking up yet others saw me getting bigger.

Go figure.

yeah having pretty muscles and posing just right goes a long way to make the illusion work in your favor.

I am doing that plus also hoping to just totally outsize everyone on stage because even when you may have the illusion in your favor, in categories like classic and open bodybuilding, just being the bigger guy next to someone else who is smaller really shows.

terrance, breon, and chris are all massive dudes in person and in the offseason, way more than most people think of "classic" guys.

At the state and national level you're still in your height category so the only way you are outsizing people is truly outsizing them, just having a total overall higher lean body mass and were able to manipulate water and carbs to make weight then fill back out.

I.E. Guys being 220 4 weeks out and making weight like nothing and being 220 on stage vs guys being 245, cutting water and carbs the week before weigh ins, then bouncing back to 245 after weigh ins. 245 guy is going to be just as dry and conditioned but fuller and 25lbs lean mass bigger. Who do you think the judges will pick?
