Honestly I said they should've did this in 2013 instead of Man of Steel. It would've been huge and Black Panther before Black Panther. DC could've then followed up with Wonder Woman and made Batman gay (he's already gay anyway) and they'd hit the Trifecta of SJW before the SJW revolution.

I'm fine with a black Superman. The character isn't defined by his race. That being said, the guys running the DCEU are all on meth (apart from the guy who hired Gunn to do the SS sequels).

It’s possible that this will be another version of Clark Kent, but more intriguing is the possibility that it will be either Calvin Ellis or Val-Zod, Supermen from within DC’s comic book multiverse.
Coates' bibliography strongly suggests he'd make a black Superman anyway.
