anyone have sleep apnea in the misc?

I think I might be getting it because I stopped breathing in my sleep months ago and thought it was corona but tested negative. this lasted a few days but then everything was normal again for almost 2 months. now I'm back to waking up every 2 or 3 hours and getting no good sleep. tonight I couldn't breathe in my sleep again so I just got up and ate some dark chocolate to keep me up because I don't know what to do to get some releif.

any sleep apnea miscers ever went without your mouth guard or whatever device u use? what did you do? and is there anything at the pharmacy that could help?

u usually don't wake up if you have sleep apnea i think.

the only way to find out is a sleep test ( which i failed because couldn't sleep at all) overnight

then i tihnk you can get one of those machines people use. i've never tried

They make some decent at home sleep apnea tests now.

I'm never going to sleep with a CPAP machine unless my life depends on it though so it's a moot point.

I'm doing one Wednesday but that seems like forever until I get any releif. Gotta wait all the way till Wednesday night to do it, then who knows how long until they actually give me anything.

when I was hard up for money and living in los angeles I needed to make rent so would do cam shows and then got propositiond by lots of muscle worship fanatics and it was easy money. was heavily addicted to drugs at the time . finding a regular job was really hard for me then and even the ones I got that were good I wouldn't end up keeping because I got into fights at work or would piss someone off. i was not in the best headspace to make good decisions . question for you. why u so obsessed? this is 4 yr old news and very specific questions ur asking.

If you have sleep apnea then it occurs at least once every 12 minutes to as much as every minute in the most extreme cases and is sometimes coupled with snoring.

If you feel like chit best thing to do is get a sleep study and anything over an AHI of 5 is diagnosed sleep apnea

Doctor will say if you are overweight that could be contributing, but if you are skinny, snore and wake up a lot then the issue is likely hereditary

That apnea can either be OSA (obstructive) or CSA (central) and can be helped by a UP3 surgery with a possible hyoid extension.

Had that procedure done myself and took my AHI from 19 to 6 to 3.

Worth getting checked out as studies show a lack of sleep is correlated to a shorter life span.

Mouth guards wont help unless they keep our throat from collapsing at/around the hyoid.

im getting one Wednesday. but what to do until then ? maybe they sell something at the pharmacy I could get?
