Basically stayed single and just relied on fwbs/ons until I was about 31-32. Got my finances right and managed my money so I was very comfortable/set. Etc.
Here's the thing. Literally all of your friends/peers will be in two categories. People who have their schit together and have a wife and/or kids. And people who don't have their schit together and are still trying to run bars/clubs and get laid by low tier bimbo's. People that haven't had a lot of sex thinks they'll come into their own and start plowing and are happy with that idea. At a certain point you've got the finances/resources to do whatever you want. But none of your single friends do. Your married friends do, but they have a family and can't.
But the simple truth is if you aren't going to bars/clubs and banging randoms in your 20s. Its not going to suddenly turn around for you in your 30s-40s. Your still going to be that lonely miscer who spends most of his time fapping.
Now that I'm reaching my mid 30s, I'm happy to be in a LTR. Its still an adjustment, but the idea of having a combined income and doubling my house-hold income is very appealing. Assuming things don't work out with my girl that's cool. I'll still be alright. But I'd probably be looking for a decent girl with her schit together instead of just being a bachelor again.

Yeah I get that but genuinely curious about how it will look like?
I imagine we will see the emergence of more age specific nightlife locations. Something that is between a pub/bar and a club. Old guys already go to pubs to drink but I think the type of establishment that will emerge will tailor to more modern tastes.

To marry I would need my partner to be 100% on the same page with me about everything and making her own money.
Matching libidos
Make 6 figures
No debt
Frugal like me
Similar life goals
I control family decisions and finances
I’m not interested in providing a lifestyle for someone else. I want kids and see that as the final piece of my own self-fulfillment but it has to be with the right person. Even then, things can go wrong.
Marriage is sort of the ultimate govt cucking- involving the gov in a private contract between two people. My hedge is if she makes 6 figs it won’t hurt me as bad as if I married a homemaker.
If the institution of marriage were not as punitive against men I could loosen my standards but in 2021 you need to check all the boxes for me to consider committing. I have a LTR but won’t marry until her future is more certain.
If things don’t work out I’ll keep saving and career/looks/statusmaxxx.

You're most appealing as a guy in your early 20s, maybe mid 20s. It's a steady relative decline from there on. Your options dramatically decline, even if you're "higher value." In your 30s and 40s, being rich and awesome isn't relevant because you have very few (genuine) options. Keyword: genuine
Value is only as good as whoever wants it. On paper, many will want it. But they're all occupied (taken).
The other realistic part is that almost every guy will not be rich nor very appealing physically.

I never wanted to settle down and never intended to.
Met a girl in my 30's, single mom, but instantly fell in love with her. Hated her son for the first two years but now he is my best friend, he is basically a mini me and just wants to do all the stuff I do - hiking, disc golf, guitar, camping etc...
I have a cabin in the mountains where I go when I need a break, when I'm there I enjoy my time alone but I would never want to be completely alone again. Life is better with company.

It's a bit of a rude awakening. I met a girl at 29 and it was perfect. I don't want to idolise our relationship or to be too pessimistic but I do feel like that was my moment. The naturalness of the relationship was once in a lifetime. I think I'll be happy to leave it at that. I'll see how life is like after Covid but for now, that's my outlook.

Very few women in their 20s find much older guys appealing in any way.

Actors and Hollywood generally IMO give a skewed perception of what life is like as the forever bachelor. They have such vibrant fleeting social circles that they can still be dating into their late 30's and early 40's. Being attractive and rich further gives it a certain razzmatazz and the fact it's socially acceptable in the culture.

There's a lot more to life than trashy sloots and alcohol.
I do my 9-5, then I either lift or mountain bike or hike. A lot of times I'll invite a young lady along. Then I might stop in a pub for dinner and a couple drinks. If not cook at home and invite a woman over, or one invites me over. I keep a travel bag in my truck and some female supplies at home for sleepovers. On weekends I'll meet up with my motorcycle club for a ride, or go hiking in the mountains, or maybe some kayaking, fishing, or 4 wheeling, camping. Road trip. Whatever my friends are looking to get into.
I'm certainly not running errands or doing anything to jestermax for some pussy. It's always there in abundance.

Young girls dating 40+ men are looking for the material lifestyle that the guy can provide for them. Not his net worth as just a number in accounts that won’t be spent on her anyway.

Children have never been a bucket list or priority of mine. I only saw them as more responsibility. I can see how rewarding it can be having children though. Coming from a poverty up bringing and always having to contribute to the household from holding jobs since I was in my teens to taking care of my now older parents with illnesses. It has made me allergic to more responsibility.
I think I'd be happy keeping myself busy with all my hobbies and in a ltr.

All the single guys I've seen snap at about age 50 and make horrible life decisions.
I don't want to bring any kids into this world, causeIdon't want to live in the world that's coming in 20+ years and kids today will be worse off than me. But when you see your dad's perma-single friend try to wife up a bipolar illegal-immigrant janitor with 5 kids, it really makes you stop and think a bit.

I'm almost 40. Married, no kids. My life is extremely fulfilling. It gets better every year.
My wife and I have always been on the same page as far as values, goals, priorities, finances, etc. We both work full time jobs and run a business on the side. We live pretty frugally aside from multiple vacations a year.
Day to day is mostly filled with work and gym. Weekends we run a few errands and hang out with friends if we're not entertaining or visiting family
The only real difference between now and 10 years ago is our social circle. We're either hanging out with younger couples or gay men. Everyone else has kids

Consumption
that's pretty much all there is under capitalism family or not tbh. However the financial freedom that a bachelor life offers would let you consume more and different things than a family man. In the end you'll always be a consumer slave boyo

With kids, your life is busy as you go to all sorts of events. Vacations are oriented towards kids. Most people in this situation tend to be happy but live their lives for their kids. Nothing wrong with this, but empty nest will be difficult.
With a wife and no kids, you build a lot of wealth and take very nice adult oriented vacations. The people I know in this situation are well grounded and polite. Seems to be a very easy life.
The few I have known that didn't get married always strike me as wanting to be married. They have strong opinions on everything. I think this is born out of a need for attention.
