Five Guys at it Again
10% price increase in the burger in the last 3 months. Have not ate out since I started keto in November. This was ~$9 then.
My favorite burger but once this crosses $10 will never eat there again. It’s around $18 now for a regular fry and regular drink. Don’t care how much money you make, this is absurd. Also think they made the patties smaller.
Also now asking for a tip when you run your credit card. LOL. Bathrooms are shut down, no hand sanitizer inside, no peanuts, no inside dining. 2 small tables outside. Windy as F.

You fat fukk lol. I just tried them for the first time a few weeks ago as a cheat meal, ordered a small fry and the bro behind the counter halfway filled a brown paperbag and handed it to me. Couldn't even finish it.

I’m worked out of town . So I was having the ribs with mashed potatoes at the restaurant across the street.
The meal last year was around $23 after the 20% tip . Sloot waitress tells me because of the China flu , they had to raise the prices .
So the same meal and tip percentage came to $32 .
I go their yesterday,a few weeks later, and now it’s over $40 for the same meal . Guess it’s Safeway and eat in my motel room for now on

I love Five Guys, their burgers have a nice unique flavor - right in between legit fresh restaurant burger and good fast food burger - but yeah their prices are so ridiculously crazy. I don't want to spend close to $20 on a burger meal. For that range I'd rather go get some sushi or some chit.

Agreed. I can have an actual fire cooked burger from a restaurant for the same price here. 5 guys only works in shopping centers.

Edit:
Somewhat agree on the pricing. Used to be a good deal for the quantity/quality (price to product ratio) but now I don't go unless I specifically am craving their food due to price.

Beef and chicken has gone up about 33% since covid started.
Restartaint’s food cost is 33%.
If raw materials go up 33 cents they have to go up $1 to make up.
That’s where this increase is coming from.
Ecery fuking thing is gone up. My grocery used to be close to $200 before covid. Now it’s close to $320. This is for 2 weeks for several people mid to high quality food. About 50% is so called organic. And this does not include meats.
Beef and chicken is another $150 per 2 weeks. Used to be $100-ish
Awful fuking crazy when I think about how much I spend on groceries.
Can’t even imagine what it’ll be like when I start dining out again. Fuk

I hate to sound like a cheapskate, but it really is mind-boggling how overpriced Five Guys is. Don't get me wrong the burger and cajun fries are good, but the price is totally not worth it. That's why if I want a fast food burger, I go to Burger King and use coupons (ded fkn Srs).

Never tried five guys. There aren’t any around here. I do make some killer homemade burgers, sometimes the convenience of fast food is the better choice though.

I went like 2mo ago and saw that huge price increase. Used to be $5.95+tax both here and in U.K. Not paying $10 for burger and fries. Whataburger's tolerable.

Many joints just like it unfortunately. I get pissed when I think about how much it costs to order anything from medium tier restaurants. If I can't find anything I'm interested in that's under $5 for a single menu item (non-meal), I'm pretty much contemplating how hungry I really am and what I've got in the kitchen at home.
$9 for a single bacon cheese burger, as a base price, then it better be the most premium specialty burger to ever exist.

Companies do this all the time.
The company I work for sells a worldwide popular product, we have raised the price twice this year alone (5x in the past 5 years) and have decreased the product size 3 out of the last 5 years
And you plebs never notice.
