TSLA is trading at ~86 Forward P/E on their 2022 earnings estimate... obviously that is highly speculative, but the sky isn't really falling the way some people believe (srs)

these plays are meant to be several years out, nobody should be buying securities like TSLA/ARKK if they plan on selling in the next few years (ded fkn srs)

Hindsight in investing is tough. That's 155 more shares than most purchased at that price.

Tesla at $200 would put it at what, around a $200billion valuation?

Look at it this way, Tesla was gladly dumping their stock last year at $400ish if I recall correctly. Last number I saw was $12billion in new stock issue at prices ranging from $400 to $600ish (maybe higher at the tail end). They even sold their own stock and then bought Bitcoin with it.

They obviously know the company is way overvalued, and I'd guess/hope the people buying in at those prices just don't care because they want to support the brand and the energy transition

I would have been very happy to get that price but I'll settle for <20, I don't think it happens today but I think it happens.

Is this what you would call an option?

If I thought PLTR goes less than <20 within a month how would I bet it?

Lol.

Even stocks you think are "safe 2021 growth" are not.

Airlines and cruiselines are getting rekt. Bank gains seem to be slowing down too. I wonder what's next?

Glad to see all the EV bull**** crashing. Anyone who has ever driven a Tesla knows how ****ty they are. Authoritarian regimes in Cali and other states trying to force an inferior form of transpiration on people because some Norwegian sloot said it’s makes it hotter.

This is not just Tesla.

Every single EV is getting destroyed today.

NIO is down even harder today.

This looks like that beginning that investors are going into companies that have profit up front. Not what they will do 5 years down the road.

Goldman is saying gas will be $80 by summer.

At this rate will feds rescue ARK.

Yeah the whole EV/green space has been riding on euphoria for a long time and oil was running the opposite. People were heralding the end of fossil fuels in 2020 because global demand briefly dropped from 100million barrels per day to 91million barrels per day

I'm all for the energy transition but people aren't being realistic about the timelines and that was at the core of my move to go balls deep in O&G when the pandemic hit

Tbh, I love Elon, but I’ve been a passenger in a Tesla a few times and while the engineering was impressive, it was kind of a chit car. Handles and stitching felt cheap.

Admittedly I’m used to nicer cars, have an X-5, last two gf’s both had maseratis, one had a Bentley GT3-R and other had Ferrari 488, but even compared to an entry level 3 or C series, it feels poor.

Hell it even feels poor compared to the interior of a loaded out 2022 Honda Civic.

You sit in an i8 and you marvel at the beauty of it. You sit in a Tesla and it’s kind of like, ok neat it’s electric, let’s get there so I can get out of this chitbox.

I love Elon too. I do all the physicals for the Space X guys and have met people who have met him, say he is cool as ****. The cars just feel flimsy to me. Neighbor has a Model S and it feels like a remote control car. I don’t mind spending $300/month in gas for my truck

$18 would be a point where if I’m on the sidelines and concerned about being shaken out by another 5% decline (this isn’t a dip, it’s a culling, lol) I’d wait for $18 and then drop the motherload, or if it never hits there, just wait for another bus.

At $18 I’m donating plasma.

Lol this. I dont have one, but am a car guy and anyone who says "ermagherd koalatee issues" is being a bit excessive. The issue is fit/finish of a more expensive car isnt up to par. Which i get. But it isnt chit like....the vehicle doesnt work.

Considering selling TAN, TSLA & AAPL with MASSIVE losses to diversify some as i already have many tech & clean energy stocks with massive losses. What should i buy? Thinking of diversifying. Maybe some boomer stocks like oil or blue chip? Google? DIS?
