Do you use mostly dating apps? Are you involved in social activities where you could meet men?
Lol if I answered your questions you would pray for meI have to go over an hour away to find anything decent and even then still feminine lol

Well my area is full of nerds and feminine men (many of the nerds are feminine men), so it can be very frustrating.

Wavelength mentioned to lower my standards, yet then I end up with someone I'm not attracted to. I won't repeat that pattern. I'd rather be alone than settle and it's not fair to the person.

Not only that, I find that as I'm getting older, I'm really set in my ways and more accustomed to how my estranged husband lives. When I've stayed with older guys they had CNN or ESPN on all day or were too clingy, so I couldn't wait to get away.

I did mess up my dopamine receptors with all of these Chads, as now most 50 year old men aren't attractive to me, except those in Florida, but most are crazy, alcoholics and/or drug users.

I can definitely relate to SS in terms of the younger guys but it sounds like you in terms of living in a very liberal area. I think my area is the most liberal in the US.

There's another Miscer who is a male in my area and has a tough time finding feminine women in my area, as many are feminists who ride the cawk carousel. Just like real estate is location, location, location, location can also affect dating.

DM28,

You have Daddy Issues from your father not being around. The formative years of your brain with a poor male role model has painted a view of what’s attractive. Unfortunately this view has proven untenable and will only lead to getting pregnant from a man who’s going to be a poor male role model just like your father. Thus the cycle continues.

You can stop the cycle from starting by doing something that’s counterintuitive. You can find the right man by refusing to date while you repair yourself.

You will find that a whole spectrum of white men will be attractive to you, if you first look inward and fix your Daddy Issues with therapy and self-help books and meditation.

It’s ironic that you scratch your head at OP and SS. They too are broken women who have had their calibration of attraction formed in an unhealthy They too need to repair themselves in the same manner.

If you want to get started with a book, read Women Who Love Too Much. It’s only about $10. It’s is the quintessential book on Daddy Issues. This will hopefully provide the urgency you need to find a therapist and find other books with concrete advice.

If you don’t read the book, there are plenty of white Cuckservative men in the R/P who are destined to breed you.

This is the kindest advice I can give. Please heed it because I won’t be around forever.
When Trump faces a reality she can't stand, she becomes highly emotional and illogical. Every crisis is met by histrionics, tantrums and an inability to deal with facts. "Its a HOAX! Its a FRAUD!"

The emotion then becomes the reality. Those of us with girlfriends are familiar with this phenomena. Donald Trump menstruating 24/7: "Blood coming out of his eyes, blood coming out of his WHEREVER."

But their skin at that age...... Far prefer the slightly more rugged look that comes with age.

Re fear of intimacy, if you're still sharing a home with your husband then it doesn't sound like it's that bad at all, just sounds like you're afraid of being alone. Seriously think you should give it one last shot at trying to fix your marriage - give it everything you've got - and you never know, maybe it can be saved.

If it really is beyond salvaging, break up properly. But don't go trying to find intimacy when you're still sharing a home with your husband. Its not fair on him, or on anyone you might meet. What do you really have to offer ANYONE right now besides empty promises and sex behind closed doors? You can't blame men for not offering you a relationship when you're not in a position to have one, anyway.

Oh my gosh, I've read Women Who Love Too Much so many times. I'm a love addict and it's the Holy Bible for us.

It's beyond Daddy issues, as I don't have Daddy issues, but I get attached to the young guys and get obsessed with them.

Yes, DM28, definitely read that book if you haven't already.

Why are SS and I broken women? Because of our marriages falling apart?

Yes I definitely didn't like being alone. I've moved out 3 times and the worst was when my daughter was young. To only see her 2-3 times a week was pure hell for me, and then men would just come and go. I finally found one for a relationship but then he was seeing someone else behind my back. I felt like the grass was really brown then and moved back home. But now she is going to be off at college soon, and I'll just be alone with him unless I get divorced.

Yeah I don't know if it's going to work as our daughter says he just talks badly about me all of the time to her. I am fed up with men though and taking a break from dating apps, so maybe I could at least try.

Yeah I'm set in my standards and what I expect so I feel the same I definitely need to move eventually, I understand you preferring to be alone rather than unhappy I am the same I will not settle for what I'm not attracted too mine is obviously weakness. Men encourage others to date up not date down but try telling women to date down, yeah no lol. Men expect roommates these days if I am going to be required to do that I expect someone willing to give the same I am giving so basically the same level.

I appreciate it, but what daddy issues? I just prefer dominant, masculine men not sure how you compared that to daddy issues? But I will not settle for less than what is masculine, but you trying to be helpful is kind and I am willing to listen, although I will not settle for weak *******ryyou can dm me if you have more thank you.

You’re right, it’s not just Daddy Issues in that book.

I say broken because what you’re attracted to cannot possibly lead to a sustainable relationship. Your attraction calibration is all messed up just like those women in the book.

You may have not had a poor father figure, but it could be your mother (father/mother are interchangeable when it comes to “Daddy Issues”) or fighting witnessed, or some kind of social relationship that required you to develop odd coping mechanisms.

But in DM28’s case, Rabbitjb correctly identified an absent father during a contentious back and forth between the two.

It was savage. DM28 was new to the MISC and Rabbit pissed all over DM28 to mark her territory.

You're referring to when she had a stick up her ass over me using the slang term daddy, which means hot or dominant and is a slang term, she didn't piss on me she posted moaning vocaroos and has since deleted many of her posts and had a mod come in trying to save herbut me liking dominant men has nothing to do with that and again it's a slang and used in many cultures

That does sound rough. It sounds like it's time for some big decisions tho, with your girl off to college especially. Definitely a good thing to take a break from dating apps.

Part of it is feminism where we are told, as in the OP with Cougarlife, that men dated younger for years, so why can't we? I embraced that as I loved how the men looked and their excitement for life.

SS had a tough husband to live with, so the young guys sending Snaps all day and seeing her occasionally may feel safer to her. In my case an older guy could push me to move out, and that is scary as the relationship could end and then I'd really end up alone. The young guys don't push me to move out.

Oh no, poor DM28 being new. What happened to Rabbit?

So I didn't know what "Daddy Issues" were until I read the book.

Its actually a broad term. People think it only means going after older men, but it just means any maladaptive coping behavior learnt from your parents that is now how you innately view romance and love. And when I say "innately" I mean that its built into your perspective and you probably don't realize how it shapes your views.

Therefore its good to take a step back from finding fault with all the men (or women) and find how your attraction calibration is leading you towards dead ends. In order to figure this out, some reading/therapy is necessary to guide you because its not common sense.

And while I'm attacking you ladies here in typical MISC-ogynist fashion, this same advice goes to the men on here who say all women are sloots. They too have "Daddy Issues" or "Parent Issues" where all they find are "sloots" because thats what they're attracted to. Or their attraction is only toward something unrealistic. Lots of different ways how ParentIssues can mess up our view of who is attractive and what love means.

Anyways OP, I'm glad you read the book, Women Who Love Too Much. The ideas in the book are not novel, but it is brilliantly written and I recommend all the girls AND guys to read the book. Though it is marketed and written for women, it teaches something valuable for both genders.

A lot of it is what happens when you become "addicted" to someone. Like the one woman in the book who got in the affair with the married man and then drove her car off the cliff. The pain of separation from the person is ridiculous. I can TOTALLY relate as I just experienced that with a 23 year old guy last summer that I was seeing, and he ended it when he moved overseas and met someone else.

There was another older woman who was counseled and she went to Al-Anon or CODA meetings instead of dates until she was doing better and able to start dating again. She would subconsciously choose relationships with unavailable men.

There have been many beautiful 20 year olds who I’ve told, “the problem is YOU, not all men.” But that’s the last thing they want to hear.

Then the years go by and they are mid-30’s and now willing to do the desperate work to figure things out, but it’s too late by then.

The book Women Who Love Too Much, demands that we rewire our brain from the wiring we received from age 0 to 18 yrs old. That takes a lot of work and time and if someone is only willing to get started at 35 yrs old, then it’s too late

The book I’m reading right now is called “Whole Again” by Jackson McKenzie. I recommended it to SIlenceSpeaks. The more I read it, the more I see it being tailor written for her. I recommend it to anyone on the MISC just to build emotional intelligence. It’s not about Romance particularly but more like how to rewire CPTSD, codependency, BPD, or víctims of BPD, and other toxic relationships.

But Whole Again would help with getting over that addictive feel you get from the constant validation of having a significant other and then having that validation vanish all of a sudden. Wood recommend.

During the pandemic, I’ve been on a mission to understand different personality traits. I want to be able to arm chair diagnose (even though you’re not supposed to). So I’ve been reading random self-help books just to learn more about people. It’s been surprising how much this has helped.

But it’s all about picking the right books. There are so many garbage self-help books out there. I only pick up books based off of solid recommendations.

Women Who Love Yoo Much was my favorite book so far. It has that jaw dropping “Red Pill” effect that in the past I had only been able to find on the MISC.

That is true that it usually isn't until the mid-30s that we want to change. I was around 30 when I reached out and said no more and went into therapy and recovery. I've been to a lot of 12 step groups, too, for support. I'll look up Whole Again. I also go to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy now. Even though it was designed for BPD, I use it for an eating disorder. You have to take group classes and it takes about 2 years to complete DBT.

Right now I'm reading "The Gifts of Imperfection" from Brene Brown. It's interesting how my uncle recommended it to me, yet that same day my therapist did! She speaks about shame, and we have so much, especially in the bodybuilding world if we don't look like a Greek God and have differences from what we consider as perfection.

Thanks for sharing

Leave it to the professionals. SRS.

These books are only validating the confirmation bias you already have.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but you don't have the full picture.

Proof SS/DTH are the same person

SS would have 50 posts in this thread already

the reason she doesnt is she is already posting on DTH and doesnt want to log in and out back and forth.

Defeinitely a mod troll these two are. WHich is why they havent been banned.

That's hilarious. His pics in the Aesthetics Crew thread are off the charts.
