that's fine lol, I enjoy my life and the work that I do. I don't wake up dreading work -- I look forward to it. Time flies by pretty quick up there and it's different every day. Couldn't imagine slaving in front of a computer all day on autocad. I also take a week or two off whenever I feel like it pretty much. I could vacation every other month if I wanted to. Some of the guys take winter off.

also yet to meet a sloot that isn't fascinated by what I do -- sloots love manly men

Why do you even chime in? Trying to make someone else feel bad? Why don't you post pics of your work, or is it not something to be proud of, boring, or just lame? Sounds like you are an insecure miserable ******* that wants to try to one up on someone else, or make them feel crappy or lower than. Do you think you should be allowed to tell others what to do, or be given a higher status in life? Get respected and have people who work in the trades bow to you? Do you feel that you are superior and the only problem is others don't see how superior you are so you need to tell them? Fact is that if you were so great, everyone would know without you having to tell them, but fact is, you're not.

seeing the tree brahs in these threads at one point had me open to taking a pay cut to get into climbing, but it's mostly small businesses in my area that will 1: only hire experienced, 2: pay dog****, 3:super **** hours

working outside again sounds really fun...but with my current job I can leave from 11:30 to 1:30 for the gym every day and no one bats an eye.

I had the option to work in north carolina for 2 years but chose to move to BC instead.

in general american companies are trash mom and pop shops that under pay and force chitty work with unrealistic deadlines. lot of chitty workers over there and nobody wants to work over time.

you're a hard working contributing member of society... I will give you that. Can't be said about everyone around here.

That being said... what's the end game? Do this until you're 50? Are you tied down to Ontario...? Just for reference... the ironworkers that operate out of Chicago make upper 40s/hr. Automatic double time every hour after 8. Full 8 paid guaranteed after 4 hours. Foremen easily make $50/hr. I'd say you could walk-on to one of these locals and they'd be happy to have you. There's also going to be a shortage of tradies in the US because the braindead zoomer generation ins't interested in hard work. You'd have to learn how to weld.

I live in vancouver now not ontario (much better weather and mountains)
i'll become a construction manager when my body can't handle climbing every day and make a six figure salary instead of grinding OT
but I want to climb as long as I can, all the old timers say how much they miss climbing

shame you had to say so much stupid chit to finally get to this point, but I was never upset about it because i'm a happy person in general lol.

Cool gig, looks hard af being up there. Don’t think I ever could do it. But climbing towers to me seems safer than other gigs like using ladders, being up on swing stages , ect. It’s a good shot. You’d get sloots wet from this one pic. Miring.

It’s doing pretty well on the socials lol

Thanks brah ! It’s safe in a sense but does have one of the highest death per capita rates in North America. I think that’s mostly because of Americans who work for mom and pop shops that don’t stress safety enough

Mirin’ all these high up pics brah. Got any sources for deals on quality static rope?

This American is disappointedly getting back more than expected from his interest free loan to the government so I think I’m going to snag some rock climbing gear.
