Canadian oil is expensive at the front end but designed to drive down costs over the long term. CNQ says they’re generating free cash flow at $30/bbl WTI. SU says they’re breaking even at $35 and CVE would be a bit further down the line, probably between $35-40

What other big O&G companies are increasing dividends right now? CNQ is the only one I can think of but might be overlooking something

Great my biggest holding is down 10% yet again. Its down 40% in the past 2 weeks. I am so wrecked. I need to buy some real stocks, already balls deep in clean energy/EV and tech and getting slaughtered. What should i get boyos? Oil? DIS? ABNB?

Utility-scale energy storage + residential-scale energy storage + demand response software (smart appliances, electric vehicles, water heating, air conditioning) to turn your house into a virtual power plant, plus somebody has to run the peer-to-peer residential energy market that will run on blockchain in 20 years, etc.

Tesla will likely be heavily involved in the electric utility industry in the future (srs) the way business models in the utility industry are transforming as markets fundamentally change will cause dramatic shifts in the way electricity is delivered to the consumer. The electric grid will be highly distributed in 20 years with few central sources of generation (except for large wind and solar farms connected by high voltage lines) and whoever brings to market residential energy storage + residential generation + demand response + controlling software into one package first will be a key player in the transition

there's a thread on bogleheads that shows if you have a lump sum of cash, immediately putting it into the market beats dollar cost averaging into the market... so I'd say throwing a stack of cash into a fund (small cap or not) is a good idea, especially right now after a correction
