How the **** do you cheat at chess? I'm ****ing livid right now.

I'm contacting support.

The only thing I do is use the analysis board to practice my moves, which I assume is allowed since it's right there on the board. There is a reason I am way better at 1 day than rapid because I can use the analysis board.

I assume they think you're using an engine or something. Analyze the games and see what your accuracy score was, if it was less than 90% I honestly have no idea WTF they could even base that off of.

Ugh, I'm so mad right now. I've put so much time and effort over the last few months into learning all the openings and gambits to become a better player. I went form 375 Ilo when I first started to 1100 in rapid. I only signed up when I saw this thread. I hadn't played since I was a kid.

Doubt it's just because of this. High accuracy is pretty normal for daily games since you can take alot of time to analyze (not like engine, but you ain't really making some mistakes like you would in rapid/blitz). Some *******s probably reported him cause they lost and chess.com had no mercy.

If you're using the analysis board to figure out what the best moves are and then playing it in your daily games, that's 100% cheating imo

He should have mated you in 3 moves min, 8 move max. You're 600 and should have offered him a draw pretending that rook king endgame isnt a thing.

The daily games let you practise your moves on the analysis board, it's built-in. But I think that's the only place it's allowed. The one time I beat Muzzle was because I spent about 20 hours on an analysis board practising ALL the possible moves he could make and how to counter them. It legit makes you a better player overall and is the reason I went from 400 elo to 1000. How else are you going to learn?



You can also open a window and use your analysis board for live games, which I was doing in my 30 and 60 minutes games up until a couple of weeks ago to visualize my moves. Maybe that is what is against the rules. I definitely was not cheating by using any kind of outside help and I didn't know using an analysis board for live games was against the rules.

I still think shutting down my account like that was an overreaction unless they thought I was actually using an engine. I already stopped using the analysis board for live games a couple of weeks ago because I've gotten to a point I can calculate most moves in my head. I've spent hours and hours analyzing each of my finished games and practising the best engine moves. I've really put the time in to be a decent player.

Anyhow, sorry bros. I was just trying to learn and get better. I have a separate account that I signed up on my phone on accident a while back that I will use instead.

Ah, I misinterpreted. I thought you were using an analysis board similar to the post-game report that chess.com offers that tells you if the move is the best move, excellent move, whatever. Never even knew about the feature that you're using but I don't see anything wrong with it.

No, just using the built-in board. Even when you use it for live games it disables the engine. The only reason I even knew about it was because a dude on youtube suggested it.

For any of the other new chess players in this thread, John Bartholomew has a great video series called The Fundamentals of Chess. I've only watched the first one so far and I feel like it has helped my understanding of basic strategies tremendously.

Also, how the hell did Tom get banned again

Yeah, you've gotten better since we last played. You've been making some good moves in our game. I've been on the fences for most of it, ever since I blundered my knight.

I teach middle school, there's a virtual Chess club, and some dang 6th graders are level 1000 ! good for them.

I'm not great ( 700 - 750 for 10 minute games ) but most IRL players in the past have been casual games with friends family, I always beat them, and so you play to your competition lvl.

Crazy horse is VERY fun and messy. I'm almost 900 in that. suits my play style better.

I'm still learning tactics, will add some Miscers in the future
