The Ancient Greeks and Romans really didn't place labels on sexuality like in modern day. Most homosexuality was between older men and 11 to 14 year old boys.

Keep in mind that the Ancient World didn't have mass writing. So it might had just been outlier ******* intellectuals pushing gay stuff. Homosexuality in poems / plays could had been equivalent to "shock" material like Grand Theft Auto (video game) isn't indicative of life in USA. Are future historians going to look at archives of DailyMail and make assumptions on our life? lol.

Likewise sources that said: "Nero married a man" - well how can anyone prove that actually happened or if it was (most likely) just defamation?

More like society now is anti male. Today, two men who are even somewhat close friends are automatically labeled homos. Historically, and even currently in certain parts of the world, it's accepted for male friends to share intimate conversations, and even hold hands or kiss. They don't even have to say no homo first.
