Crazy, I’m reading it’s an import surge and the docks are understaffed and can’t off load fast enough.

Is this why I keep getting calls at work about New Trucking companies. Gotten 5 calls for people starting a trucking business.

See below. Similar story here. Heard rumors even that retiring longshoreman can "gift" their jobs to their kids. I don't know how true this is, but it is certainly a lucrative job.

Correct on some days. Union says it's to protect their workforce from Covid or they were short with infected longshoreman. They've used their standing to move up the vaccine priority list. Also, have heard rumors that they are starting their contract negotiations already. Their contract is up in July 2022, so just a year away essentially.
