Cope implies that I want what they have; I don't. The problem with having what they have is that I would also have to have the other (negative) parts with it. I would have to be female, act childish, have sex with men, and blow all of my money on clothes and other nonsense.

It depends on the type of wealthy person. Most "old money" only puts money into things that have value and appreciate. Even $1000 dinners tend to be charity dinners that result in a write off that reduces tax liability.
