What is the greatest measure of applicable intelligence?

I'm not talking about an I.Q. test.

As an example:

Nikola Tesla was by all accounts a genius but he died penniless. He got cucked by both Edison and Westinghouse. So, did he truly have a high level of intelligence?

I think your first two options are more about priorities than abilities. Some things you can overcome by grinding hard and getting a few lucky breaks.

The second two still involve priorities, but if you don't have the mental ability then you just don't have it. You could maybe hire it, or steal it.

Being less financially successful doesn't mean that Tesla was less intelligent. He may have just been less competitive, less concerned with financial gain, or less willing to fight dirty in order to "win".

ruthless and cunning > principled and intelligent

Or at least that is how it looks to me in a war type scenario.

Income is absolutely not an indicator of any sort of intelligence. OF bishes make more than most of the smartest people ever will

I would say this to an extent. Mastery specifically.

I've noticed there are people who are really good at "learning" a subject quickly and from an outsiders perspective appear super intelligent. Realistically all they have done is memorized something and do not have the capability to advance any further.

I've seen other people who did not pick up those same concepts as quickly, but then go onto become absolute masters of the craft.

The ability to percieve fast.

Like, one can smell, hear, see and taste x and knows little.
A smart person will smell, hear, see and taste the same but understand much more.

Basically how fast u learn.

The wealth of Zuckerberg, Bezos, Musk, etc. says otherwise. Zuckerberg's core business sells ads. That is how he got rich. Look at how much power and control he has now.

Is a ruthless warmonger who is able to conquer lands and control people more intelligent than a man who is able to avoid war altogether?

Look at how much we pay athletes and actors compared to doctors, scientists etc.. There is very little too no correlation between intelligence and net worth. Intelligence isn't sexy to the public

Although you’ve pointed out “jobs” where low-iqers get paid more, that doesn’t account for the millions of different types of jobs. If you average out careers, the harder jobs(engineer, scientist, Dr, lawyer, etc which require a high iq) will absolutely pay more. Also, just because someone does OF, is an athlete, or is a rap star doesn’t automatically make them low Iq(on average they might be, though).

Sure, but we don't pay those athletes, performers or actors based on their intelligence. We pay them to entertain us. And that's it. Whether they're Einstein or Jason Genova they're getting paid 10x what doctors and scientists are to provide us with entertainment

It depends, is the warmonger tactical with which who, when, and how they fight their battles, and do they have any plan for managing the areas which they have conquered or are they just senselessly violent? Does the pacifist avoid war at any cost, even it means surrendering their land and giving away their freedom?

I don't think it's so black and white.

It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

Not where I was going. The point was that a ruthless cunning person can defeat an intelligent principled person because they are more willing to do things that a principled person would pause at.

When asking about Tesla you were using a wealth measurement and competing in the market is a type of war, or battle.

I think here you are wandering from intelligence and into wisdom.

Desire:will to pursue a objective

Intelligence:ability to accomplish the mental work needed to achieve an objective

Wisdom:perspective on if it is better to pursue an objective or not
