He was being too nice to her while trying to keep her calm. When he initially asked her to move to the back of the vehicle, she started getting confrontational and that's when he said "I think we're getting off on the wrong foot" and he let her stand near her open car door. She even reached back into the car (a big no no!) and grabbed her cell phone to make a call... he sat back and allowed this. She was basically testing his authority and control of the situation and he was failing. So in her mind any order that he gave her, she could simply refuse and get confrontational and expect him to backdown to avoid the confrontation. That had deadly consequences.

Dafuk you talking about? It seems that you posted a link to an article and you either didn't take the time to read the article or you did and are just too dumb to comprehend it. This article clearly says the girl who was handcuffed contorted her body and was able to pick up a gun with her hands handcuffed behind her back, and then went ahead and shot herself in the face. No where does it say a police officer shot a handcuffed girl.

He tried to calm her down and be nice about it. Yea I don't think they are that easily misrepresented. They certainly took really aggressive action early on. In fact, they faced a lot of backlash for their human rights abuses at how stringently they responded to the virus. OFC keep in mind, back then, the method of transmission wasn't even clear yet. They took pretty swift action and dealt with it the best they could. For a country the size of China and for how they had it first, they did a pretty fantastic job on it.
