The alt and newb accounts are ruining this forum

Every day it seems like more of them sign up and start making threads. Can there be a moratorium put in place for new accounts for awhile?

If they could just require like 50 posts to create threads it'd help. Or some kind of account age before you can create new posts..

It's easy to skip past all the new accounts in a thread, it's their ability to create threads and spam the front page with trash that is becoming an issue.


The people who annoy me more though, are the well known miscers who constantly reply to every garbage fuking thread every brand new account makes. If people didn't respond, it'd slow way down.

Great idea but they will never happen. The code for this site hasn't changed for 10 years. How long has the search function been busted?

One of these days some conflict between the 25 year old source code and AWS will bring this forum down for good, and the admins will be too lazy to fix it. That's probably how this forum will die is my guess.
