No kids yet but it would be a shame if my wife and I didn’t produce offspring. We both are attractive, educated, make good money, conservative values ect. The world needs more people like us.

How old are you OP? I think you won't really understand if you're not at that stage in life. I used to think the same way, but I'm 36 now and things are different.

35 seems like a good age for men if you stay healthy, my uncle had his first kid in his mid 30s. I guess I'm not ready to give up my freedom yet, maybe that will change.

If we are being completely honest most people (90%) are unfit to be parents. Bad genetics, bad personality traits, no financial stability, etc. People have kids anyway because they are either bored, want a purpose in life or want to boss someone around for the first time in their pathetic lives.

I can understand if you are rich, smart or have some kind of creative ability that you want to pass down. Ironically these people with desirable traits have less kids or no kids than poor and stupid people.

Most are unplanned to say the least. Birthrates decrease as birth control gets better and is more available. I think most are semi planned, where they want a kid, but not really, so they just take chances until whoops. Most are accidents.

ATM this is the big one for me, kids are such a huge financial commitment for people to have so casually that's what irks me
